OYO 6356 Urban Guest House - Hotel in Kolkata - 24 Paraganas South, India

New hotel good maintenance. Hygienic. Good for stay. 4 people in 2000. One room 4 single bed for 4 adults.

Rooms were clean and ambience was not bad. The staff were good. Breakfast was cooked and served as complimentary. One big problem is to locate the place. They had a small board which was absolutely impossible to recognize at night and we had to take a U-turn once again rising our cab-costs. It would be better if they have some big indications or sign-boards with lightings proving visibility for easy navigation.

The AC did not work in my room. Made a complaint with the manager and the house keeping guy. Requested for a room change. They denied There was no hot water in the morning. Breakfast was not provided. Nothing was provided as promised when the payment was taken. Do not opt for this place. Bloody frauds

Let me give you 3 points short and sweet. PS I have stayed in Hyatt of Dehli and Mumbai and JW Marriot of Kolkata 1.The boys here are very helpful friendly and frank 2.It's just like HOME. 3.Rooms are very good. These 3 things are the most necessary for a good hotel and The food here is also good and breakfast is VERY GOOD. AND FANTASTIC LIGHTING

A well maintained hotel with promptness in service. Restaurant is good and clean and well maintained. Situated near upcoming Joka metro it is situated at excellent location for visit South 24 Parganas industrial Area region and tourist places like Diamond Harbour and Raichak. Overall it was pleasant stay

Booked at only Rs. 830 after applying coupon on Oyo. Nice clean place. However it is 1:40 hr drive using Ola from Howrah Station. Furniture, bathrooms are all modern. The staff is helpful. If you wish to come put your destination as Urban Kitchen in Joka area as the hotel is not on the main road. You can walk Urban Kitchen restaurant to this place. This hotel is actually called Urban Guest House. The food inside is good but expensive. I would like to add that if you are 1st time in Kolkata, there is no restaurants in front of the hotel so you would have no choice to to order from the in house restaurant which is a bit expensive. Update - I thought Joka would be a happening place as IIM Calcutta is nearby. But i was suprised to see the narrow bylanes. A Cab driver later told me that Joka is almost outside Kolkata. Hence, the narrow bylanes and old city look. If you want to see New Kolkata or India Shining Kolkata book a room in Salt Lake City area or Newtown.

Very wellbehaved management. Peaceful.well ventilated.well decorated. Quick responce room service. I am verymuch pleased. You guys also try to stay here.

I had a great time here, staff is very friendly & cooperative. Rooms are neat & clean & well maintained by hospitality. This property is my all time spot for accomodation. Keep it up
