OYO 61951 Hotel Green Tara - Hotel in Leh - Leh Ladakh, India

Worst hotel in Leh. We stayed here for 4 nights in Jan2020. Go here only if you're left with no other choice. This will be a complete spoiler of your trip. Rooms are terrible, roof of the room drips/droplets freezes in night. Money minded for everything. Bashir who works is always looking for opportunities for looting money from guests. Food is horrible. They don't even make good coffee. Bathrooms are dirty and slippery. Charged 3000 bucks for 3 people. You can find much better options with in 100m of this like Mountain Retreat...

I love this hotel! You get rooms with panoramic views of the Himalayas! Imagine this, waking up, you get to have hot tea while looking at the majestic mountains. Ha! For someone being so faraway from home, everyone made me felt like I am safe and secured. I was so well attended that it made my stay really special.

This place is not worth the time effort and much less the money. We made the reservations while sitting in the parking lot during a storm. We walked in with our registration confirmation number once the payment had been charged to my credit card and the man at the counter wanted another $50.00 deposit in cash or he would not give us a room. We told him we would cancel the reservation and he just laughed in our face saying that we would be charged anyway. I have filed a dispute for this charge on my credit card since we could not get the room without cash on hand. I will never again use this location and if all of OYO locations are the same I will not use or recommend this chain to anyone.

Plan your stay at Galwan Palace and you will feel like your second home. It is situated at the top of the hill. Peaceful, lovely people , good infra(heaters are also available). You can sit in the layout and enjoy the weather there. Food is tasty and arranged on time. People respond on a very quick basis of any concerns. Tahir, the owner of the hotel is the best person whom you can ever meet in lifetime. He took care of us as more than a family member. And trust me, that's true. If he wasn't there, maybe we couldn't even manage to come back as planned. A real Hero. Thank you Tahir. And loved your place.

Non existent service, wifi never works, no water in washrooms, worst possible hotel

Poor quality of rooms, service is absolutely pathetic. We came for chaddar trek in the month of January. Wash rooms were not in conditions, water was not coming from tap. They didn't even provided water in bucket, we were forced to fill bucket from ground to first floor. They charged Rs. 250 for rice and dal and even in breakfast they charged us for coffee wherein it was complimentary. They told that tea is complimentary but coffee is chargeable and they charged Rs. 50 for water content coffee.. They dont provide water in dining room saying go and drink water in reception area. Staff is arrogant. Electric power supply is pathetic and they dont start their generator saying that entire leh hoteliers dont provide generator backup after 10pm. Wherein we came across many hotels where all facilities are given at same cost. Seriously I would not recommend this to anyone. We suffered very badly and guyz i do not want my other friends to suffer.

They don't keep rooms available as per online booking but keep filling it offline even they has gotten confirmation about booking. We were accommodated in spare room. Very little options for food that too not local food. Attitude of staff very bad ( 1st ever such experience in Leh). They kept asking us for cancellation if we didn't like room. It felt like they forcing us to cancel booking after reaching 3 km from city.

Biggest plus is it's large parking area. Food is good but the menu is limited. Hot water is available ok only for 2 hours in the morning. The room tariff can be lower.
