OYO 5782 Hotel Neelam - Hotel in Kanpur - Kanpur Nagar, India

I want to share my horrific experience at this hotel. GUYS PLEASE DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL FOR ANY PARTY, EVEN FOR FREE. I booked this hotel for my son's mundan function for 16th November 2019. I met with Mr Puneet and before booking he was saying that we will give good service and promised cooperation of the highest level. But after booking and paying the amount his response changed to every request I made he was saying can't be done. He asked to pay the full amount before 1 week of the function and I paid 35 k of the 40 k total. At the time of the function time which 6-10 PM even the hall was not cleaned and the decoration guy named Pawan was missing. The chair cover were dirty and torned off. When I asked Puneet the manager, regarding not have the hall ready at the function time he said you have reached, he just said it takes some time to clean . And excuse for everything was " yaha to aise hi hota hai." When my function started the snacks were not ready , the manager and one caterer was there but only sitting inside the reception and even after asking lot of times to come out of reception to see and monitor the services waiters were doing. They did not come out. And Puneet the manager's focus was to get the remaining 5 k out of 40 k before the function end only. No effort on providing good service, they were like koi problem ho to batao. and problem batane par yaha to aise hi hota hai They were not serving snacks properly even after promising 4 snacks they provided 3 and even they were not hot . Even coffee was served normal temperature and they were serving only one type of coldrink while he promised for at least 2 type before booking. When I complained about cold snacks and cold coffee and coldrink of one type only, they still sat incide the reception room and asked me - that their kitchen is on 4th floor so the snacks can not be served hot. For coldrink he straight away denied after forcing he arranged 1 coke, and that too jiase free mein diya ho. The breads were also cold , the coffee machine was not there. The service guys were sitting and talking to each other and having jokes during function time. The DJ guy named shailendra was also not playing music to give good dance songs he was talking to his friend on phone not even trying to play good music. Overall very very very upset with the services. I have paid 40k Rupees of my hard earned money to listen to lame excuses and eat cold food and have bad service . Worst part was the manager Puneet did not even tried to serve us well. He kept on sitting inside reception and did not monitor services himself. He was only focused on taking money. Everytime we asked to provide good service to save my prestige among my relatives , he said he can't do anything. Is this what managers are? To sit on reception and take money? GUYS DON'T EVER BOOK THIS PLACE FOR ANY OF YOUR FUNCTION OR PARTY. THESE GUYS ONLY LOOK FOR MONEY AND NOT PROVIDE SERVICE. YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR EACH AND EVERY SERVICE TO WHICH YOU WILL GET LAME EXCUSE.

Neelam hotel is in bypass. Very few shop(I got only 1 general store). Very poor service got frustrated. Rooms are great well designed, neat and clean. Overall in my opinion this is not a good hotel you may get a better deal.

Average experience.... There were mosquitoes at night I due to which a called the attendant at 2 AM and sprayed repellent. Staff was polite thou not professional. I stayed at second floor and above that floor ()

That's affordable. But not a good ambience and atmosphere. A small place where you can do a small party. And you can stay here they provide you with facilities. It's all up to you.

always worst service's..... service get worst in every function..... location of place is easily rechable...... as they charge for services but always failure in providing services..... sometimes staff member also misbehaved..... no wheelchair entrance here.....

The room was good in condition, staff of hotel is very cooperative but one drawback is that, kitchen area and dine area is not in hotel but they serve breakfast in room...

I never preferred this hotel because of there is no good service regarding room and toilets and very worst condition of halls and other transportation unit like lift. And they charge only with cash.

Worst food quality and food item different from menu, toilets are very dirty overall waste of money
