OYO 5555 Stay Harmony House - Hotel in Guwahati - Kamrup Metro, India

Rooms were being painted, so had to adjust with the paint smell. Otherwise rooms are OK not that great. Booked a suite but we were given some other room. Had tough time making them understand that my booking was confirmed by booking.com but they kept insisting that they have not received the payment. They should take this up with booking.com and not the customer.

Good and spacious rooms. Service is okay. Not enough attention is paid to the guests. A cold gaze greeted us. Taking the luggage without any assistance from the staff felt like we were going to a hostel. Location is a plus point as it is situated in a lane just adjacent to the commercial area with good access to restaurants.

It's just the room that is big otherwise there is nothing ac never works. The bathroom has no bucket no tissue roll no handwash. The room does not have dustbin. Like u need to call the caretaker thousand times to get stuff seems like you are staying for free. No one should stay here atleast I will never. Pathetic N highly disappointing.

Excellent hotel with excellent location located at the city center,extremely clean & comfortable. Would definetely recommend this place to everybody. Thank you again

I booked this hotel for 2 days i.e. from 5th & 6th of September 2019 via makemytrip. At first, they said they dnt take online payment from makemytrip. Later at 9pm (after waiting for long) they told me they can adjust if I pay 2700 more. (1300per night is their charge though). Seriously they asked me to pay additional 2700. They cheated me. My 1 star rating is too much for them.

It's not a homestay as such, but you could call it more of a boutique hotel with ornaments about the place. However...when we checked in, the corridor and our room was filled will a plume of fog and stank of cigarette smoke. They told us it was 'mosquito' repellent and were assured that it was a non-smoking room but even the towels smelt of it. We had to ask for the sheets to be changed as there were stains all over them and quite clearly had been slept in (they were grey in places, so probably more than once). The bathroom also needed to be re-cleaned as there was hair on the toilet seat, the floor and blocking the plug hole as well as stains in the toilet. To top it all off, we didn't have any hot water for a shower that evening - given it is the middle of winter, this is less than ideal. So our only option was to use a dirty room in a separate part of the hotel to take a shower the following morning. 'Continental breakfast' was reasonable though we did ask for fried eggs, and omelette turned up. Wifi was intermittent and didn't work in our room either. Our experience here was bitterly disappointing as the hotel has a lot of potential. It needs more care and attention and guests need to be made a priority.

We had a good stay at the Harmony house. The interiors are interesting. The place and service was good, would recommend others too.

One of the most uniquely and vividly themed home stays, I've been in. The place is centrally located and offers all amenities that one may normally expect. Bang for your buck! The only brickbat would be for the musty smell in the washroom. We checked in quite late for us to get this rectified.
