OYO 4219 Ratnakar Residency - Hotel in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

It was a nice experience being there and the money we payed was worth it. its value for money The time we checked in we had to wait as the rooms were being cleaned and we were offered complimentary tea/coffee, then the staff there carried our bags for us to our rooms and assured us that they will be happy to help us at any point of time and they did. We asked for some plates and bowls in middle of night and the guy brought it to our room The breakfast and tea is complimentary here and the quality of food they serve is good too. The owner was very helpful and friendly and advised us on what places to go in limited time and then at the time of checkout he escorted us to the taxi stand. The hotel had a free WiFi service and net speed was good The only reason I'm not giving it 5 of 5 is that the place was not ideally created for the purpose it is serving now so for one room the privacy is bit compromised (one of us got that room). The rest everything is good

I was recently in this Hotel. This is not something which is expected by OYO standards. Rooms were too small, smelly and OLD. The bed was uncomfortable, dirty linens even the blanket provided was very dirty. Even the AC was not working. No options were provided for breakfast. When I book an OYO I expect a least amount of hospitality, which was by far missing. Rest, the staff was well behaved and helpful. Giving 3 stars just because of the staff and location otherwise it is worth a 2 star rating.

This is the worst hotel to stay in. Uncooperative staffs, fraud pictures of the room & unserviceable amenities are some of the features of this hotel. I booked a 4x suite room,but the receptionist alloted me a saver x room with neither the Ac nor the Tv working. The washroom also had taps which were broken,the flush was not working & most importantly no safety at all. The Windows of the washroom was also broken for the outsiders to peep in. The lift was barely working at times. The most indecent staffs. They cancelled my original booking,without my permission, which was for approx 1100 nd then made a new booking for the same room at a higher price of 1600. The oyo incharge for this property too was not at all cooperative. If there had negative ratings,I would have certainly given it a -100. I think people who write in favour of this hotel are paid for,because after staying here,I can bet that it's impossible for one to give more than 1 star.

Was forced to stay here after having booked a different hotel. The address is confusing and probably wrong. If you try to order a Uber from this place, good luck explaining the directions to your driver over the chaotic ambience. The staff is gentle and very helpful. I found a bug in the bedsheet inside my room. The TV is hopeless. Don't bother switching it on. AC works fine. The room is not at all worth your money. Some improvement work is long overdue.

Very worthwhile staying here ..one of the best hotels that I have stayed yet. I found this on trivago with an amazing offer of 870 rs The staff are excellent in every way, hot water is available 24/7. After reaching Kolkata , I had to travel so I stayed in many hotels which was not worth it. The toilets , rooms , were not at all cleaned. The waste was not recycled, poor management of customers and a lot of money. Then I found this place, ek dhum silent jagah heh. Beautiful room with a painting and clean. The bed was made nicey and the sheets were fresh and pressed. I have decided to stay here whenever I come to Kolkata. Thank you For the good service and memories

The rooms need some serious work. The rooms have AC but no remote. The TV remotes were faulty too half the buttons dont work. The passageways are not properly lit. Although one can claim that for the price its ok enough but that price is a result of applying a few coupons online. The staffs are well mannered but they need some professional training.

We had a very good experience at this hotel. We stayed here for five nights. The man who manages everything is a very nice guy from Bihar. His name is Chandan. He is a very hard working man and immediately addressed all our requests and problem that we brought to his attention. The breakfast is Luchi Torkari or Parotha Sabji or something special every morning. Thank you for the great hospitality.

Hotel is inside small street. No parking option. Rooms are bit small compared to money paid. But its ok kind. For dinner have Jai Hind Dhaba around 500mts away. Breakfast starts 8:30, this force you to skip and leave for day. Opened water bottle refilled are provided.
