Property is nicely maintained. Rooms are nicely decorated and very spacious. But locality is not so safe and availability of food and necessary things are very poor. Since it is located almost 6km from police Bazaar there is nothing do in the evening. Only one restaurant is available just opposite the property. Strictly no for couples. People coming in big group can plan if full time vehicle is available.
I would have given minus rating, for Goibibo booking, any one reading this review, please note that, they don't allow you to stay if booked online. They insist to pay on hotel to them directly. For this they have harrassed me lot. Again Goibibo arrange other hotel for me so called high price hotel, but that was hell. Bathroom was flooded, not draining. Again change room. From 1 PM to 4 PM I was wondering how to manage for holiday. Room of this house are neat and clean, large, nice location, but they only allow to stay if on spot booking with very high price than show online ( almost more than double).
It's a very cosy place. It is very neatly managed. It is good for couples to stay. They have a kitchen too where you can prepare your own food if you wish to. There is also a balcony for the room in the first floor. The guys who run the place is also friendly and helpful. I booked it through OYO as I got it for just 800rs. So it was a good deal for me. There are sweet shops and small cafes at a walkable distance from this place. They also have geyser for hot water.

It is a really nice place to stay. The location was perfect and easy to reach. I booked one room through OYO. It was a nice experience.
All good, Nice Communication, Rooms are in good condition, Kitchen is also available to make tea, coffee and other meals, Car parking is available but congested if other cars are parked there.
Hotel denied check in because online payment was made, they asked for cash at 2000 per room for single and 2500 for double room

Had a very pleasant stay. The cottage is very well maintained and furnished. Rooms were neat and clean. The owner of the property,Mr Darell is very soft spoken and helpful. Overall the stay was very cozy. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely stay at this property. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was top notch. Indian, khasi food and continental.

You will actually feel like you are staying at home. I have visited Mawlynnong 3 times and every time I stayed in this homestay. Superb neat and clean place with decent basic eating options nearby.
