OYO 3624 Eden Residency - Hotel in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

At a very prime location in police bazaar, the busiest place in town. Extremely helpful manager and staff. They will help you out in every possible way. Service Room Stay Drawback- * no water heater inside the bathroom, but they will provide you * tricky stairs- can be a problem for aged persons.

It is located in the center of the police bazaar. Room was decent but maintenance was required. washroom was clean but exhaust fan and geyser were not available in the washroom. Although they provided hot water when we asked them. Better services are expected as per the charges they are expecting.

Such a bad experience. I came to Shillong for education purposes. I have booked a room at Eden residency for 13 nights. It is mentioned that breakfast is complimentary but when I checked in it is said that they are not providing the breakfast, "It is simply mentioned from the oyo sides and Oyo knows that the hotel doesn't have breakfast facilities and geyser and not even twin bed" the hotel is saying this... . I have selected a twin bed but it's not provided and the geyser is not working, the hotel said they are not providing a geyser facility. These are the problem I am facing how can I stay for such a long period without a geyser in this cold and rainy season. They are mentioning and show all these options and facilities but not provided even the basic needs after check-in. After all, it's about 13 nights. No breakfast for two people but they changed so high and did not even provide the basic requirements. I checked in on 18-04-2022 and still have 12 nights to go... If it is all about 1 or 2 nights, I will be okay, but it's about 13 nights. Help me out

Okay so booking OYO without seeing it is a very bad idea and I payed dearly for it. It was an impromptu plan of visiting Shillong and at the last moment booked Eden Residency. I had to pay 2500 for the room and it was really bad. Room was small and smelling. No hot water, no wifi and no complimentary breakfast.

Hotel provided clean and well furnished room, but inadequate arrangements reflected here clearly. Room heater is provided on chargeable basis however other hotels provided it in the package. Dining area is too tiny that 4 families can't adjusted at once. Meal is too costly. No sofa or table-chair available in the room. If stayed more than 2 days, there is no laundry arrangements, it hurts so much during the stay.

My overall raiting is 0 Location :-Behind central point hotel ,would have been a good location in the middle of the market but this is no parking zone.Just immazine you are carrying all your languages from another lane to here and then climbing horrible ugly uneven slippery stairs to enter the hotel.more stairs to reach reception and then even more to reach your room.Super bad. Room and bathroom condition:Very tiny room and bathroom (deluxe ).you can hardly walk with being touched by the furnitures. Not recommended with child.Initially we were given a room with dirty mirror and rusty wash basin so we changed that room and got even smaller room. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom without tissue paper although. Horribly poor towel given as if to clean your shoes. Service: 1. Hotel doesn't bother if customers are being offered room service for cleanliness. We had to asked to clean the floor on the 3rd day and they cleand the floor not the bathroom though. All though we were out all day and it was around 7:30-8pm when they helped with the cleaning and I appreciate that. 2.Could not take the facility of Free breakfast but the restaurant at night looks all empty. I don't think any one order food at the hotel restaurant. 3.They don't bother to carry your stuff to the room or to your car while check out. Although they must offer help to carrying languages as their entrance is no parking and with ugly stairs which is difficult to climb for even for a young gentle man with languages. 4.No one at front desk after 10pm .You are locked in the hotel till 6:45 am as they will lock the main entrance. Just imagine no one at front desk and it's being locked ,you can't go out to pharmacy for any emergency. How amazing facility and services that!! Now this is not enough. Please read my experience as why I thought they are 0 rater and should get out of service Industry. This is due to some unprofessional and poor customer service. Their staff started gossiping,giggling and laughing next to our room when we almost slept. Then they started hammering /some construction work at the middle of 11pm in the night.No one at front we had to call our services provider all though our booking was escalated but they obviously couldn't stop the hammering at that point . We were very disturbed. Next day we were all set for cherrapunjee trip and we found ourselves locked at hotel.It was 6:30am which is quite busy time in shillong. An old fellow who could speak in bengal came around 6:45am and I was very disgusted by that time as our trip got delayed due to their unprofessional hidden rules. So when I was asking him about their timing to open gate his verbiage was "we can't help if you wanna go out at 3 am".My point is if I need medical help then what do you do? Anyhow ,Then when I explained him the last night hammering issue he responded as if he knew it and simply said "if you are having so much trouble,you can change hotel". Now just immazine how dare this guy is a part of service industry?I was furious and I warned him to check on what is he saying as I will take time to review them on each and every possible site, he started becoming polite and when we checked out on our scheduled day he tried his best courtesy which meant nothing to me. Honesty if I had time I would have deal with my service provider to change the hotel.but we hardly stayed there as we were all day trip and it was so beautiful I hardly had time to spend in this hassle otherwise I would have loved to change my hotel. My sincere request you guys to not to go for it even for free specially if with elderly or children. You will die but No medical help can be provided as no one at the front desk and you are locked ;-) Horrible and NOT RECOMMENDED !!

Its a good place to stay as it is situated at the heart of the police bazaar, shillong. The rooms are well furnished. The food is not good at all. They have a menu card for food but i think its not prepared in their own kitchen. I was given in a plastic packet like a fast food corners. It was packed in a plastic container. (use & throw). Moreover the food was really tasteless.

Worst experience I have ever had in India. Over priced. They don't provide basic services to the guests. For example, no complementary water in the room. They said it was not supposed to provide any. Poor wifi. Morning breakfast was call buffet (what a joke). Bearly five items are supplied but the quantity was so little that not more than five customers can have those. No hot water by the way. Only good thing is you can shop nearby. But overall experience is pathetic. No AC. So check before you book.
