OYO 3436 Shree Utsav Palace Guest House - Hotel in North Dumdum - 24 Paraganas North, India

The rooms are very basic. It contains a cot and an almirah. It has a mirror fitted. The problem is with the service. It's not necessary that if you have hired the room, you are entitled for all the facilities. You need to pay extra for AC, using of lift, and rooms attached, even you have booked the entire marriage hall. You need to engage recommended decorator from the building owner, who would charge as per his will. It is a very old marriage hall in operation for a very long time. Still, I think it's been mismanaged recently.

Location wise it is near to airport and Dumdum metro station, so it is easy to commute to anywhere in Kolkata from this property. For me it took only 15 minutes to reach airport at 8:30 AM. Anytime one can go to dumdum metro station in 10 to 15 minutes. Each and every rooms are well maintained cleaned properly. Bed sheets, pillow covers are clean and kept tidy. Owner Mr. Ramachandra personally supervises and checks the cleanliness of rooms. Staffs are friendly and polite. I stayed in this hotel for 17 days in different rooms. In every room got similar experience. When I checked in on 1st January 2019 morning was received hearty welcome form Mr. Ramachandra. I had to travel to Calcutta due to difficult medical situation and during my 17 days stay received great moral support for Mr. Ramachandra. Their corporation and friendly behavior give me a huge relief during difficult situation. I got a chance to stay with really nice people. Thanks to Mr. Ram Kutti, Srideep, Rahul and other Staffs.

Stayed here three times. Very nice place to stay. Clean and hygiene place. Wifi + Breakfast + AC Well behavior of owner and other staff-boys also. They also calls do we need anything or not. Transportation is always available here. Not much far from Airport. Not much congested area but everything is available to eat. Bar is also available near this. Smoking is allowed inside it. I also stayed in other rooms. But i liked it much.

Giving 1star because negative rating is not allowed. The reason for this rating is the manager/receptionist there (in the pic). Very rude, very over smart and was drunk like hell. He deliberately cancelled our room booking so that he can make more money. Because of him only I had to wait for 2 hours in the reception area.on every 10 mins he was rushing for having cigarettes and after coming back was talking rubbish. The room was average.

They are a complete disappointment and cheater. I booked via Agoda and paid from my credit card. When I went there they said the amount I paid via card was lower than their rate! So why the hell you guys took the payment from my card? And there was not refund! I had to find another hotel. Please Don't go there. Rubbish.

Good place . Service is good . Free breakfast is offered . Good place for family and also Allows unmarried couples but need to show the ids of both. Can easily spot the place. Near to airport so it's also good location wise. Will recommend the place.

Staffs are too good. But owner of this hotel is too rude and told me to get out as I was 2 hour early for check in. Owner behavior doesn't even suit with servants. Please don't go to this hotel. Displayed picture is totally different. I was ready to pay him extra for early check-in in the terms of Oyo rules and regulations but he denied everything and told me not to argue. I was genuinely ask him Oyo policy and he just showed his tantrum of his ownership of that hotel and told me to get out. Coming to breakfast, it was very oily and unhealthy. Puri sabji for veg and omelette for non vegetarian. After sometime I met Oyo Area manager, I explained him about owner everything. In spite of talking to him, he was giving me advice that it is my fault as they were friends. I felt humiliated and will never book hotel again for Oyo. I checked out from this hotel early as possible. Once again, there are many hotel near this area. Do try other but not this. Owner behavior says it all.

Good, of you want a decent room at reasonable rates you can go for this 2 3 KMs from Kolkata Airport. There's no in-house kitchen that's the only minus thing of this guest house.
