OYO 2871 Hotel Ratnakar Inn - Hotel in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

I had stayed at this property for 4 nights. We had booked two Deluxe (3X) Rooms. Both the rooms were pretty large & had a king size double bed + a single bed. We noticed that these rooms were ideal for a family of four. The washroom was clean & the linen was okay too. We had complementary breakfast included in the tariff but on the first day the restaurant serviceman denied breakfast for the second room without any reason. Upon registering a complaint with Oyo, they cleared the issue immediately. After that we faced no other issues & the hotel management was a bit more concerned towards us after the incident. The receptionist was very well behaved & great at giving us directions to places of interest. The best part about the hotel is that its centrally located in Kolkata & every place is near to the hotel. You won't have to travel much if you stay here, thats for sure. We had a nice stay at the place & we look forward to booking this place in future visits as well.

Good Place to Stay. Good On-Road Location, easy to Notice from regular traffic. (Not Very Far from Exide More). Staffs are Good but a Bit More Politeness and Professionalism would be Requested. Small but Clean Lift was in Working Condition. Room was Good but House Keeping facilities were missing. AC was working fine. Nice and almost Clean Bathroom was Fine. Overall a Good Place to Stay.

We felt extremely welcomed by the staff here at this hotel. They were gracious in every way. From opening the door for us, to helping with Uber directions, to making sure we had fresh water, soap and towels. The a/c was very nice, especially since it was so hot outside. The bed was comfortable and the room was sufficient for our needs. I would recommend it to others and would definitely stay here again myself.

Overall really enjoyed the hotel ratnakar inn. Location is fantastic because it is super close to everything. Great market nearby, too. When I checked in I was immediately greeted with pleasant hellos from the moment I approached the hotel's front door all the way to the front desk for check-in. This was my first stay at a hotel. I felt very welcome staying there all the way until I left the next day. It was a short walk away from everything. Would definitely stay there again and will recommend to family and friends planning to stay in that area.

Our check in was very bumpy, manager got involved &we had an excellent solution with what we wanted to begin with. We asked about playing cards & all tables were offered infact the manager before she left for the night came &asked if we needed anything , wanted to know the game we were playing, very personable. Cookies, breakfast outstanding & people ready to help. We will be back again. The staff was too friendly. Loved this place

Drop off to and from this hotel is very difficult. Very hard to find a taxi from this location. The rooms were fine, lights were little dim...but A.C. was best. There were certains plumbong issues in the washrooms due to which we had to switch to another room. Lastly, while checking out the card swipe machine was not working making payment process cumbersome.

I booked two deluxe rooms (room no-201 & room no- 202) in FabHotel Ratnakar Inn Ballygunge for my family from 24th feb to 27th feb and my feedback points are as follows: A. Room: I. Smell was coming from room, as they did not use room freshener after room service. II. Pin of power socket was misaligned; you have to do exercise for putting plug. B. Bathroom: I. Water leakage from tap, wastage of water. II. Toilet fresheners were not used. III. Back seat of toilet was broken. IV. They did not provide soap case in the bathroom. C. Complimentary: C.1 Bottle drinking water: They did not told that water was complimentary and how much. C.2 Breakfast: I. Breakfast was complimentary but as per FabHotel Ratnakar Inn Ballygunge terms and conditions only. II. Breakfast was limited, only two very thin parathas for each person and when we asked for more - they said- We are only staff, Ye esa hi hai (It's like that), complain kr do (mention complain in feedback) Or they will charge for it heavily. III. As tea was also a part of breakfast but they did not give you by their own, you have to ask for it. We don't know about the milk, weather it was complimentary or not. IV. They did not had serving bowls, while serving they used white, red, etc. colors of bowl, it looked that they had borrowed bowls from neighbours. V. They did not have glasses or they did not give you glasses for drinking water while having breakfast. VI. They have only two juice glasses and two water drinking glass i.e. total only 4 nos. of glasses in the dining area or restaurant. When we asked for more glasses as we were five persons- they said - we don't have more glasses, we have to take out glasses from rooms, Fab hotel group ne nahi diya (Did not provided by Fabhotel group). We are only staff, Ye esa hi hai (It's like that), complain kr do (mention complain in feedback) D. Dining/Restaurant Area: I. Toilet attached to restaurant was not cleaned and smelled badly. II. They did not have hand wash near to wash basin in the dining/restaurant. III. There was not sufficient light in the dining/restaurant. IV. Hotel staffs are using dining/restaurant area for their personal use. V. Bedsheet, towel and other cover items were found laying in the dining/restaurant. E. RO water filter: I. It seems that they did not do any maintenance of RO water filter as taste of RO water filter was very hard. F. Common dialogs from staffs and female receptionist: I. Ye esa hi hai (It's like that). II. Complain kr do (mention complain in feebback)- and now I am doing the same. III. Fab hotel group ne nahi diya (Did not provided by Fabhotel group). G. Cheap Mind of Owner and staffs of FabHotel Ratnakar Inn Ballygunge: As checkout timing was at 11.00 am and my flight was after lunch time so after checking out process I was sitting for half an hour at visitor area and then hotel female receptionist said that now you have to make some order as you already pass half an hour in the hotel as hotel owner was forcing her to do so. So cheap mind. Staffs are openly saying make complain on FabHotel feedback website. From the above points they are spoiling the brand name of Fab Hotel group.

The hotel is average but is very economical. Most of the tourist spots are within 5km range which makes the location decent. The service is nice but the hotel room was very cramped. Thank complimentary breakfast didn't have any non vegetarian options not even eggs.
