OYO 24594 Wind Cross - Hotel in Kalka - Panchkula, India

Rooms were bit upper than average although staff was co-operative. Food in the dinner was nice and breakfast was also good with basic things like paranthas, bread + jam or butter & tea/coffee. This hotel is on main road of Kalka which makes it easily accessible as one want to avoid getting stuck in resorts over the hills during heavy rains. Only the thing which can bother you is the power backup system as electricity cuts off then lights in the room will not work, only the AC, Geyser and one light in washroom will work. Overall it was quite & decent place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay from 13th to 15th April. windcross hotel was very lively and we throughly enjoyed the food and service. Rooms were clean and service was wonderful. Breakfast was also good except that they had almost the same spread on both mornings. Overall fabulous stay .location just 10 minute distance between railway station.

Best in Kalka, well maintained, Great location, easy to get in and out of the city. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you, especially, enjoyed the view of the sunset and sunrise at rooftop with coffee

It is a very elegant and spacious place. Had a cosy stay here before we commenced our journey towards shimla. The hotel is right next to the railway tracks which was fun to watch. Hotel services were of no hindrance. No sanitation or water problems faced during the stay.

Dont think, book it fast. I stay there one night as to catch the "HIM Darshan train" to shimla next morning. Host is amazing person, helped us with our luggage, cheap food service to room, again taking out luggage out in cold morning and waiting to get us auto. Room is very good with all basic things for stay.

It is newly built hotel. Tarrif is economical. Rooms are clean. AC rooms, hot water in taps. Service is good. BUT you can't get tea before 8 a.m. so if one wants to leave early, should leave without having tea. Breakfast is available at 9 a.m. Complimentary breakfast includes 2 alloo parantha, 1 small curd and one tea. Hotel closes at 11 p.m. so no midnight availability of rooms.

There was no light. No power plugs were working. Washroom was not connected with light, unable to use geyser. They turned on generator full night from 7:30pm onwards till morning. Only Tv and room light was connected. Unable to charge phone, use geyser, no light in washroom. Else was good. Good staff behavior. In city centre, atm available, close to petrol pump, restaurant available.

The hotel does not have any lift. So please be aware of this fact before booking your room if you have heavy luggage or any person who cannot climb steep stairs. The staff is friendly but the manager of front desk is quite arrogant. Claims he has been working with that hotel for 7 years but does not know any element of service and hospitality. Yes, food can be arranged from nearby Krishna Cafe as there is no kitchen, but hotel gets its own commission in any food your order. We ordered food, the hotel charged us Rs. 390 though they had paid Rs. 350 to the vendor.
