OYO 19688 Silver Brook Resort - Hotel in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

The resort was undergoing construction, therefore, the place was messy. It wasn't what was shown in the picture while booking. The water in the bathroom taps was coming sparsely and was a struggle to take bath. Due to construction and rains the rooms and corridor were dirty. Yet, the resort was open to tourists for booking. Not a very pleasant stay.

The location is offbeat. Around 20 km away from Shillong. They don't have intercom system and it is difficult to get service from the restaurant as you have to walk to them.

Very nice location. Construction work going on in hotel premises but the property is surrounded by beautiful nature. Explore the village to see the beautiful place. We stayed in second Dormitory and it is nice. But maintenance should be improved. There is no water in the water filter. Bathroom cleaning should be frequent. No power and water for one entire day. Roof was leaking during rains.

Beautiful Resort in the lap of nature in Upper Mawiong Mylliem, Shillong, enjoyed our stay at Shillong during our Meghalaya trip. It's outside the congested city area. So you can enjoy the nature here.

Location is far away from Shillong, we stayed there for a night against Rs 2500. Outside temp was 8 degree and geyser was not working, also room heater was not available. Food was also not as per the cost. Water was also not clean in the washroom. Minimum intra calling phone was also not available in the room, you have to go to the reception everytime for any requirement which was far away from the rooms.

Rooms are good considering the price , its still under construction , servive is okay

Disappointed. Tent doesn't have washroom, dustbin, tubelight, only one socket for charging, no fan, no mirror. Common bathrooms were not clean. (Indian toilets). We later found out some rooms also do not have attached bathroom. Staff uses the bath area for washing clothes. Frequent power outages. No staff to attend the inconvenience of travellers. Staff is not responsive if you have booked the tent. They pay attention only when you have booked a room. No stay arrangements for driver ( this is imp since most tourist book cars for the entire trip) . Food was good though. However the overall stay was very unsatisfactory. Would not recommend at all for a long stay. Maybe for overnight rest it's fine.

The ambiance and vibe of this resort is spot on and i would reccomend the land, and living arrangements a 9/10 but i found the food overpriced and the service of the staff not up to the mark. You are supposed to take your food in your tents before 10-10:30 cause after that the restaurant closes and the reception closes at 11:30 after which you'll not find a single staff member even if u need anything, the blankets they provided us didn't help beat the cold and we had to pile up to stay warm Pro tip: the tents will freeze you so better rent the hostel dorms or family dorms. The living arrangements and restrooms are quite good They keep their doors open even after the staff leaves so even if u are late don't worry you can get in and stay in the hostel dorms and check in the morning I'll be uploading pics of the hostel dorms, the family dorms (not the inside), Tent shacks, small tent and large tent, parking area, and the garden
