Rooms decent First floor had much issues 2nd floor ok but some room for light issue 3rd floor best What I liked is the staff are really nice Location really close to Minakshi temple So compared to other hotels the price is low here .

Absolutely terrible. This place is a scam and Oyo needs to remove them from their site. Here are a few reasons why: -They asked for 600 rupees on arrival because the amount advertised and paid online was incorrect. -They took the phone to try to cancel the booking after realizing we wouldn't pay the extra rs 600. We had to grab it back fast once we realized what he was doing -They took our passports and wanted 850 rupees to give them back. We took them off the table without paying and handed them photocopies of our passports, which they took and did not give back to us. -The room we booked online was occupied already (yes, we had a reservation) so they put the three of us in a different room with one double bed instead. We asked if they had a mattress for the floor and they said they did not. With no other option all 3 of us shared the one bed. -They made it abundantly clear that there would be no complementary breakfast as shown online. -There is no wifi. -The person who showed us to the room asked for a tip despite not even carrying a single bag up nor being able to provide a mattress for the floor. -The room smelled strongly of mothballs. -The single blanket we were given was not big enough to fit the bed, and could only covered two of us.

Good for single men and situated close to Madurai Railway Station and Periyar Bus Stand. Rooms are compact and maintained well. Restaurant available in the ground floor. Lift is available. No car parking. Street outside is very busy. Meenakshi Amman temple is 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. Lot is Street food restaurant available. Value for money.

Worst Experience..If you don't speak Tamil, avoid at all cost. Reached the hotel having booked through OYO. The guy at the counter said, he is matric fail and can't speak either Hindi or English. Would not honour the the OYO booking. No Room boys to take your luggage up or down. Thankfully, I got a room in the first floor. No lifts either. Very arrogant, uncultured staff.

Worst experience. The receptionist will demand more than what is shown in oyo app. The hotel owner even told the oyo customer care executive that they did not provide the room because I was drunk. Got refund after hours of telephonic conversations with oyo.

Better to give Negative star to this hotel. Not eligible for single star. I booked Via Oyo and oyo confirmed OYO 16691 hotel Chakkravarthi for Dec 26th stay. OYO team confirmed, its a good hotel along with Wi-Fi, Complimentary breakfast etc and confirmed the same. OYO team said, i need to do part payment to make confirmation and to pay 1260 in next one hour. I made the payment and confirmed to OYO. OYO confirmed two rooms with the cost of 4390 and i need to pay balance in hotel. I reached hotel at 11.30pm and then all harassment and frustation started from hotel manager : Hotel is in small lane and NO CAR PARKING. ( big surprise to me ). Hotel Manger said, no parking, go and park at general parking in bus station. NO other option, went to bus station and parked there with fear at midnight. Again he said, not able to accept card and need cash. I said, i will pay morning and not able to pay now. He said, if you are paying in next 30m, then only room will be given. I went again searching of ATM and withdraw cash and came back and paid. And again he said, he cant pay the receipt for paid. I just mentioned in the register as paid by CASH. And completion of car parking and paying cash at the time of 1am. Still, he is shouting, why you paid 1260 to OYO, mentioning OYO is Fruad and Cheaters. Morning at 9am, i mentioned need hotel time upto 12pm, he said no way - for OYO he cant extend beyond 11am. Darshan will take 2 to 3 hours, so no other option vaccated at 9am and went to temple. Requesting all - Please dont plan to stay in this hotel and this hotel is NOT FOR FAMILIES. All my sad experience/s with hotel explained to OYO and Aarti from Guest experience manager said, she will look into the possible solutions and promised me to refund by 1260. Still waiting for OYO. And finally I came to know, room rent is ony 1500 per room. Then , why OYO collected 1260 from me ? Is it a commission to OYO ? PLEASE AVOID. UPdate on 7th Jan : OYO refunded my 1260. still not addressed other concerns which I raised.

Poor service. One of the worst hotel in Madurai. No amenities, and they don't have gst registration also. The complement breakfast they providing is worst of it kind. Never ever plan for this hotel. You will get so many other hotels in oyo and goibibo.

*Not a recommended place to stay if you are going with family, the owner is a local rowdy* I booked this hotel for 3 occupancy in one month advance through oyo to visit Madurai with my parents, after reaching to Hotel at 11 am they told they won't have any room available with 3 occupancy and asked me to check in a 2 occupancy room, with in one hour we will provide me 3 occupancy room. After giving multiple reminder to change the room it was already 1 PM, but they were not able to upgrade. I spoke with oyo customer care and they were also unable to help us, since the owner seems rowdy they were not able to handle him. After so many conversations with oyo customer care (Praveen) they asked me to change the property after 4 hours of check-in but I was unable to do so bcoz my parents are 60 + years. And the room was dirty and no toiletries were provided, The place is unhygenic and filthy, restaurants a shame and service appalling. The place was so bad and full of cigarette smoke. In short I paid Rs2000 to stay there for one night but it was not worth to even 500Rs. And oyo is misguiding people to telling that its a hotel but I want to make clear, its a lodge.
