OYO 10587 Vanjula Residency - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

Worst place. People were really very bad. We booked Through OYO and got this worst homestay ever. The owner's were staying next room. It's just ordinary house three storey. Too much noise. Food was very bad and quality/quantity was very less. These people they look poor but they cheat you for every penny. Be aware and book hotel's through OYO

Decent room with affordable price. I mean value for money but little bit far from local market but walking will be 10 minutes to reach. Room cost us within 2,000 (depends on the season)

I on behalf of Coochbehar Polytechnic with my 57 students and 5 colleagues stayed in this property during our Industrial Visit to Glenmark and Cipla Sikkim. The property is well maintained with Spacious rooms and bathroom fitted with all modern amenities. Staffs are very much courteous and helpful. Always serving with smile in their face. Mr Tapan Ghosh and Mr Arpan Ghosh, both the owners are too good and always available over phone. Our students also enjoyed a lot during their visit specially for the arrangement of DJ and mesmerising view from the rooftop of the Hotel. We enjoyed a lot there, hope next year also we will come here for warm hospitality.

This place is nearly 2km away from market place but peaceful n joyful place. Easily available taxi. Enjoy the view of Kanchanjunga at the time of November till february last. Weather is cold this time. Service is based on owner.

Good place to stay.. food quality is also good.

Pretty nice. But he wasn't willing to give bath towels for 3 instead gave for 2 people only. Switches had some issues in them. Otherwise rooms were clean with hot water facility. It is situated pretty low and hence walking would mean a pretty steep climb.

Worst experience ever. We booked the hotel from Oyo for 16th to 19th feb. Before that Gangtok had a heavy rainfall and the electricity was disrupted. We have specifically booked this hotel as it was mentioned that this hotel had power backup. But the fact is that they don't have any. On 16th as we checked in, there was no power and the other person with me was sick and we were provided no assistance and we were given just one candle. I checked with other hotels in that area, and those which had power backups were efficiently providing electricity to their customers. As we complained, nothing was done. More over for dinner, they had a huge menu card but had nothing in stock, except the food left from the afternoon. A veg thali would consist Rice, daal and bhindi ki sabji and they would charge 120 for it. Rs40 was charged for 2ltr of mineral water bottle and Rs20 for a small cup of tea.
