The beautiful land has its own mark with lovely horses, sweet apple orchards and walnut trees growing along the rivers.
I visited Aru Valley first in Pahalgam with my wife and 2YO daughter. This place is very serene, and wearing two layers is enough in May. My daughter enjoyed horse riding alone for a full 20 minutes. We didn't visit Mini Switzerland due to time constraints and planned to visit Chandanwari and Betab Valley. The views are good.

Aru valley has beautiful landscape.. But horses make the pathways very dirty... You can reach by road only. The condition of the road is not good... More over local taxi drivers do not follow any traffic rules.. They will overtake from any side, which make this road a bit risky. I suggest to everyone take you own vehicle or took self driven car.
We trekked upto Lidderwat, which is basecamp for Tarsar and Marsar lake. Beautiful view and mind boggling experience. We travelled around 20 kilometres up and down. Difficulty level is moderate. Just go with proper hiking shoes and you may end up spraining you ankle.
