Ottamassery Beach - Public beach in Kadakkarappally - Alappuzha, India

On our way from Trivandrum to Irinjalakuda, we chose the scenic route this time by taking NH66 after a deviation from Alappuzha Bypass. And we loved the route a lot. On this route, near Ernakulam is a secluded paradise of sorts called Ottamassery Beach. This is as private a spot as a public beach can get. There was no one else, but a couple of fishermen and us at the beach. There were (abandoned?) boats there and the beach sand was very very white and soft as well. There were no dangerous waves and the beach was really calm, so we strolled along the shore, almost getting our feet wet. A must visit beach for all beach bums for sure.

Superb beach, good spot for photoshoot. Not a crowded place . Neat and clean place.

Not much of a beach. But still very beautiful. Will recommend to go. There is no rush, so can have privacy.

A short drive of less than 3km from St Marys Forane church, Thanky. Positives 1)Just next to the Coastal Highway. 2)Ample car parking space. 3)Friendly locals. 4)Calm, clean and white beach. 5)A very less crowded beach. 6)Can walk from the parking space to rock embankments, can climb them to get a better view of the sea. 7)Seemingly a good fishing spot. Negatives 1)no life guards 2)no cmercial activities, so no drinking water, food etc 3) have to be extra careful while climbing the rock embankments, also do not go to the end of these rocks

Wonderful place to visit if you have own vehicle. Place is near to famous Arthungal basilica. Not much explored place I believe. You can enjoy weekend eve peacefully with your family. Neat beach.

It's a small beach but very clean and prestine. Good for clicking pictures.

Nice peace beach. Not crowded like any nearby beaches like andhakaranazhi, mararikulam or arthungal

Nice place for a party. Great ambiance, good food , Bollywood music. A bit expensive but a great place to chill in Vaishali nagar
