Ostel.in Pondicherry (Auroville) - Backpacker Hostel in Periyamudaliyar Chavadi, Puducherry - Villupuram, India

I had the pleasure of spending a memorable 2-day vacation with my family at this wonderful place, and I can't help but rave about our experience. The standout feature for us was undoubtedly the food. It's not often that you come across a place that manages to capture the essence of a comforting, home-cooked meal in every dish they serve. The flavors were incredibly authentic. Additionally, I was thoroughly impressed by the impeccable cleanliness of the place. It was evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a spotless environment, which added to our overall comfort and enjoyment. Our family left with hearts full of gratitude and wonderful memories, and we're already looking forward to the next opportunity to return.

The best hostel so far. Great hospitality and clean places. Very safe and it's near beach. 4, 8, 9 and solo rooms are available. Sea facing room also available Swimming pool is clean and well maintained Wifi is good. Good fit for workation. Right next to the beach. So easily accessible 24x7

We recently stayed at the Ostel property in Pondicherry and absolutely loved the place and the property managers. They're really friendly and help you in way they can. This property also boasts of a pool and a beach view too. If you can get a beach view room/dorm, there's nothing like it. Only negative is that the early check in is not an easy process.

Had a lovely stay in Ostel. The location was convenient just by the main road. The common room was so chill , the seating was arranged nicely and even had an unplugged session in the evening. The atrium had a very nice view and good to get seated there and enjoy the pool and sea view. The reception hosted was super nice to interact. Maybe will revisit sometime when peak charges are not applicable.

It was a good stay and has beach access. The property has very good facilities. Food at the cafe was very very tasty but they are a bit slow in proving the food. We go the bike rentals within the ostel itself which was very convenient.

Very clean, with all the basic amenities and a stunning view of the ocean. The host was very nice and kind to us. The only problem is that approach road last 50 meters is very narrow and dirty. Plus there is no car park. But no complains as they advertise themselves as a place for backpackers.

I stayed at this hostel for 5 days, and it was my first time experiencing hostel accommodation. Let me tell you, it was truly amazing! From the comfortable dorms, stunning views, convenient location, delicious food, and my personal favorite, the vibrant lounge where I made numerous new friends and created unforgettable memories! If anyone is planning to stay in Pondicherry, this is definitely the right place. I must give a special mention to Anoop, who manages everything so exceptionally well. Highly recommended!

The first time you get the property tour from Priya you will get blown away by the visual experience each spot of this property offers. The use of exposed brick, exposed concrete along with wood and vaulted ceiling makes this place highly photogenic. Proximity from the highway makes the commute effortless since everything is under 5k radii, whether it's visitors center or white town. Inside the property no matter wherever you are, all you can hear is the white noise of waves, which is extremely relaxing. Cleanliness is top notch. 5 stars for that. Though der are lot of rules but all the hosts are super cool and friendly and ultimately those rules are for the benefits of the guests. Food is little over priced but the quality is amazing. Overall the young team of hosts do a really good job in managing the beautiful property and taking care of the guests. I am happy with the overall experience and highly recommend this place.
