The ambiance is good but the food is not up to the mark. I tried red sauce peene pasta but the pasta was too thick and a little uncooked with a simple tomato gravy which didn't complement the pasta honestly. Don't try the sushi, it's not worth it. Nachos are something you can try. Overall experience was bad as the food didn't taste great.

Superb food and delicious cocktails. Excellent service by knowledgeable waiters. Waiter recommended the special "No name cocktail" which is made in front of you poured from test tubes. It was especially delicious with rose petals floating in it. Not too expensive either, we were 3 guys and it cost us 4500.

I was wondering about the high rating when I went thru Zomato but they justified the rating with their service and food. The Staff here are very friendly and personally attentive to all the guests. They're yet to move to the main room (what you see in Google pics or Zomato). It's operational in another room next to it.

Whether for the high-class cocktails, mouth watering food, pumping music or great hospitality, ORIGIN in Green Meadows Resort located near palavakkam beach is the place where everyone feels awesome and will agree with me. Atmosphere is just out of the blue with the lush greenery from the resort. I have been to the N no. of bars around Chennai, this one really stood out. Inside the bar everything has been designed to the nth degree, with the cozy comfortable seating and designated outdoor space. Just loved the service, loved the hospitality, and professionalism of the staff. Special thanks goes to the culinary team who has created such a fantastic menu which surely we can't get it anywhere else and the service team who made us feel welcomed and exceeded our expectations. Definitely recommended and a must try!

The food is delicious, and so are the cocktails and service. Went there on a Monday and literally had the whole place to ourselves. However I was a little disappointed about sushi and dimsums not being available, but whatever we ordered, was top notch. Jairam's service was exceptional and Naresh's cocktails were spectacular. Loved the place even more coz of their delightful service. Can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Origin to anyone looking for good food and good cocktails. Hopefully I get my sushi and dimsums the next time I come. Dishes we loved: Gunpowder Prawns, Chicken Shish Taouk, Hot Lamb Mezzeh, Pepperoni Pizza Cocktails we loved: Pomegranate flavoured Gin, Clarified whiskey & rum flavoured with bitters and coconut milk , Old Fashioned, Vanilla Whiskey with Milkpowder, Whiskey with Milo, Gin with Coffee Liquer and Nutmeg.

Excellent selection of cocktails, particularly no name cocktail, ambience is superb and staff are very knowledgeable and polite. Food is very good, especially salmon sushi. It's an hidden gem, always had good times here with our bunch.

Tried their prawns and nasi goreng( nasi goreng made of fish oil), no name and pinacolada cocktails which was so good

We visited on the football finals night. It was quite crowded but the service was quite good. We tried the paneer tikka, the murgh makhani, Dajaj meshwi and baymisu for dessert. Panneer tikka was quite good, soft and flavourful. The main course was so so - murgh makhani had a huge piece of chicken (not tender), they were willing to swap the chilli naan for a roti. Dajaj Meshwi was a huge letdown, not tender chicken and zero flavour chicken, the saving grace was the Arabiatta sauce. Baymisu was quite good - decadent dollops of chocolate cream and a decent tiramisu. Service was good and the mock tail was yumm.
