Organic old Shiva Cafe - Cafe in Kharekhari - Ajmer, India

Beautiful organic food, freshly made juices. We found this little gem by accident, a modest family home and cafe. Shiva was super nice, picked his seasonal veg and prepared an amazing meal for us. He was a chef at an Italian restaurant for over a decade, so has a flare for cooking. ;) I would ask for a seasonal village menu. I have been in India for a few months now, first time I'm trying village indan food and it was amazing

Petit cafe perdu dans la campagne proche de Pushkar. J'ai passe un agreable moment. Tout est fait avec des produits du jardin, les pates aux pestos etaient excellentes. Une super rencontre, une atmosphere authentique. Je recommande a 100%. Et si vous etes sur Pushkar, il propose aussi a emporter.

Lovely tucked away garden cafe, the owner is very friendly and accommodated all of our wishes. All the food was lovely and also the chai is delicious. Great place to hang out for a quiet afternoon!

Incredible place in the middle of mountain. Very chill place and amazing food. You can find Indian food or Italian food. Is nice to be in a place peacefully like this. Shiva is very kindly.

Best organic, homecooked food and drinks very near to Aloo baba's temple. He has a very big menu with Indian, Israeli and Italian foods. We love Indian food so Shiva recommended the Pressed green garlic curry and Pumpkin curry and it was amazing. The seating is nice in his peacefull garden where also vegetables grow. Very friendly people and atmosphere.

We just had this very unusual tasty curry dish, from the Gunda (glueberry), from the tree that is standing in the middle of the Garden of the restaurant. The berries have amazing health effects but I was strugging with the unusual tricky structure :-) But my husband really loved it. Usually the Gunda berry is used in the atjar pickles. Old Shiva Cafe is a hidden gem, tucked outside of the bustling city of Pushkar, and close to the temple of Aloo Baba. Signage around the area makes this cafe fairly easy to find. There is a lovely organic veggie garden out the front, with most of the grown produce used in the dishes available. There is an extensive mix of veg & non-veg, western and Indian food, including local village cuisine, and a delicious range of tea and coffee. The masala fries, veg momos and pesto pasta were a highlight. Also, as this cafe is outside of Pushkar, beers (plus meat and eggs) are available here. Definitely give this place a visit!
