Orfila International - Western restaurant in Ottapalam - Palakkad, India

Orfila... The latest addition to the family restaurant category in Ottappalam. Could not try it soon after they started functioning, but this weekend we had tried. The restaurant is well maintained and the interior looks good as well. They have started dine in but with very limited menu. The restaurant was not at all crowded and we felt that good. I have reserved a table for 7 and they have arranged it pretty well (including a sofa for our baby). We started with soups, dragon chicken and smokey rabbit fry as the starters. The Smokey rabbit was served as a sizzler. For the main course we decided to go for the Arabian cuisine. Buhari rice with shawai, Peswar pulao and Texas Al Fahm. Buhari rice was good but shawai was not up to the mark. Texas Al Fahm was good but they were not serving Arabic kuboos. The best one was the Peswar pulao, Mild spicy Arabic rice with mix of channa and beef slices. They serve it with mayo and tomato chutney. The mockatail corner is not functioning now, but I recollect my brother saying about one of the mockatail which they had it from there which was superb. Accepts all mode of payment and has enough parking space. They have banquet halls and space for roof top open restaurant. Overall it was a nice experience and staff were very polite and supportive as well. Can say without any doubt that it's the best place now at Ottappalam for a family dine in.

One of the best restaurant in ottapalam. The quantity is very high.The chicken cream soup is amazingly tastty.The biriyani was only average but the quantity was super. The staff was very polite. The taste of afghani chicken is superb. Overall the best restaurant in ottapalam right now. They have only started recently. They have a large area for customers so a big group can easily be Accomadated here.

One of the good multi cuisine restaurant in town. Good seating arrangement food also good. Visited couple of times but last time when we visited the service was not so good comparing to the previous. Parking area also avaliable near to the hotel.

The restaurant service is so good. We had a fish curry meal and Biriyani for lunch. The food was decent. We tried grape juice after lunch. The fresh juice was nice.

Food was delicious but Service was miserable; Sleepy service Not at all satisfied; No enough dining space and uncomfortable,they don't know to manage customers during rush hours

Tried veg and non veg and both tastes great. The effort taken behind each dish is evident to fully satisfy the hungry stomach's. Hope the team keeps the food quality served now in coming years too. Latest update is that Varutha aracha kozi curry was very much below average...

Not bad but don't got authentic taste in some dishes

Very poor food! We ordered Thai style chilli chicken and it was sweeter than payasam. Even the other items we ordered - be it paneer chilli or chicken tikka masala or nadan chicken curry or the dry fried chicken starter item (I forgot the name) - were really not worth it. We felt like the standard recipes for each dish was thrown out of the window by the chef (probably a substitute/fill-in) and prepared everything in his own inimitable style!
