Orange Pekoe Hotel - Hotel in Kotagiri - The Nilgiris, India

On a Saturday afternoon, we visited this place for a quick lunch. My family has frequented this restaurant multiple times. However, both their food and service are quite average. The quality used to be better before Covid, and they used to maintain the place well. Unfortunately, these days it's not well-maintained. The butter chicken we ordered had too much color and the chicken was rubbery, almost as if it had been stored for a long time. The server who attended to us lacked a friendly demeanor, and it felt like he was just going through the motions. Considering these factors, I'm uncertain if we'll return to this place.

We weren't staying at the place but had stopped for a quick pickup of dinner. The prices are out of the sky but the quantity of food doesn't completely serve even one person. The packing was so bad it was all wrapped in a news paper like the roadside vendor's shop. They take more time to cook as well. Highly don't recommend this place

I had to stop by at this restaurant during a unplanned trip with family and the place did not give the confidence but trust me the food was very good and must try item Hongkong chicken, mushroom masala and this place needs more renovation to attract crowd. Dear Owner don't leave the chef, but make the ambience spicy and attractive

Clean hotel, but noisy restaurant and poor food I stayed at the Orange Pekoe Hotel with my wife and child for one night. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly, but we had a few issues that made our stay less than enjoyable. The first issue was the noise from the restaurant above our room. The restaurant was open late into the night, and the clinking of dishes and glasses was very loud. This made it difficult to sleep, especially for my child. The second issue was the food at the restaurant. We ordered a few dishes, but they were all flavorless and bland. The prices were also very high, especially for the quality of the food. The third issue was the lack of responsiveness from the staff. We asked for a few things during our stay, such as a late checkout and a wake-up call, but the staff never responded to our requests. Pros: * Clean rooms * Friendly staff Cons: * Noisy restaurant * Poor food * unresponsive staff Recommendations: * The hotel should consider soundproofing the restaurant to reduce noise levels. * The hotel should improve the quality of the food. * The hotel should improve the responsiveness of the staff.

We dint actually stay there but we did had a look...more than anything I appreciate the service offered...more than anything their kindness mattered...if ur searching for loos amidst the jungle you can hop in here..and also eat their delicious lunch...

We had stopped by for Lunch. We went at 3.00 pm. Biriyani was not available. Taste of food was ok. Views from the side are amazing.

If you're thinking of stopping and eating at the restaurant, please don't! The food is terrible! Awful ambiance with loud kitchen staff yelling and echoing through the restaurant. We all got indigestion after eating here. Take my sincere advice and don't waste your time and money here.

Service was very poor , seemed like they were understaffed. Had to wait a long time for the order to arrive ( as expected,no complaints).but the order was not complete.then we had to wait for them to bring the missing item which took another 20 min ,by that time rest of us finished eating,Then we had to order some refills which took forever as well. Food was good but for the customer service I give 0 stars
