Oottupura Restaurant - Vegetarian restaurant in Kochi, Ernakulam - Ernakulam, India

We ordered South Indian thali (Rs 142.86), North Indian thali (Rs 161.90), pizza dosa (Rs 238), biriyani (152.38), Lime tea (Rs 17.14), & paneer pepper fry (Rs 180.95). The food was okay, however the pizza dosa was a bit sweet for my liking so not recommended, biriyani tasted like fried rice than biyani, the North Indian thali consisted of jeera rice, dal, paneer, sabji, & veg. The paneer curry was sweet. Pepper paneer was good, south Indian thali/ Kerala meals were good. The food prices are reasonable & service is good.

WORST EXPERIENCE!! One of the worst experiences I had in kochi. First of all they made us wait for more than 20 mins for the simple masala dosa we ordered and then came the nightmare. After getting the dosa I noticed that the coconut chutney was having a bad taste. Which I confirmed with my mother and when asked upon the issue the person agreed that the chutney was not in good condition. They offered to replace the dosa but how can we trust them again, we immediately wanted to exit from there. They removed the price for the 3 dosas from the bill and I paid for the balance. The issue was not with the money it was about the heritage of the Gokul oottupura and the trust it carried with kochietes.

A good vegetarian restaurant near palarivattom flyover. Visited on Sunday morning around 10:30 a.m. The place was packed with people waiting for a table, but fortunately the waiting time was hardly 5 mins is what I noticed. There is an A/C hall along the non-A/C. We got seated and got our order placed. The food reached our table fast, probably that's why the wait time is less. We ordered masala dosa and special Ootupura masala dosa (didn't get pongal ) The dosa was just rightly crisp and the masala filling was sort of mashed potato masala, so you don't get any pieces of potato. We liked it. Special Ootupura masala dosa had some special podi sprinkled or mixed with the masala giving a twist to the taste of masala dosa. It tasted something like mysore masala dosa, but not spicy. Loved this one too The dosa was served with two types of chutney and sambar. The flavor of the tomato chutney was unique. Finally ordered filter coffee, which was served in a dabara set. The coffee was not strong enough for me, probably should have informed them when I placed the order. The staff were courteous serving with a smile on their face The service was fast too. Pricing is pocket friendly. There is parking space available Definitely a place not to be missed for those looking for veg options in Kochi. Thank you, Ootupura.

One of the most finest vegetarian restaurants in Kochi. The interior ambience and parking lot is very much satisfying. And moreover the food varieties are somany with great taste.

Surprise surprise surprise I am forced to write this review because of the rude and harassing behaviour of the staff here. Even in the non crowded time they took 15 mins to send someone to take the order and then after waiting for 30 mins received the food in cold condition. Someone must be having logical reasoning for this but I don't have. Pls come at your own risk and do share your review if you go through the similar experience. High rating by google made me come here and i now doubt the review system also. Pls don't get fooled here
