One Step Hostel - Boy's Hostel in Mumbai - Mumbai, India

There was no privacy at all, washrooms had leak, ac's were only operational during the night, it's affordable for someone who is on a tight budget, consider this place if you just want to come and rest, you get a locker, all in all it was below par, you get separate rooms and dormitory shared by everyone, this is a only boys hostel so consider it, location wise it's great because it's in colaba causeway, the main Market street of colaba and gateway of India is just a 5 mins walk from here

Fair enough for the amount they charge. Even, though the washrooms are fine and clean. Getting a budget dorm at the most expensive property in Mumbai- South Bombay is worth staying. You are just a corner away from Colaba Causeway. Sometimes, you'll face the problem of walking off the stairs, it's narrow and this is the fourth floor. So, a long way to walk. AC dorms/rooms are a personal suggestion. Even the locker space is good to keep your belongings safe. You can negotiate with the person for a longer duration and he is generally ready to give discounts for a longer stay like a week or so.

it's a nice place to stay for male-only( as it's a boy's hostel). if your budget is low then it will be a perfect stay. i recommend if u r going in winter then u will face no problem but in summer u will freak out in the daytime because they on ac only in night time about other amenities: u will get clean washroom,about bathroom:it is very small,u will get pillow blanket & lock from hostel(yess they provide huge locker),u can get food in hostel only in night time but u have to tell them in morning about the same,they have geyser in some bathrooms,24 hours water facility,u can get water bottle by paying money,they have small fan for each bed,.If u r staying in dormatory then fan will be such a small pieces of sh#t that it will provide air from your head to chest only,and yess u will find cockroaches too,there is no mosquito there thank god, everything good go stay there as it is in prime location everything nearby from low budget food to high budget cafe restaurant and all thing will be available nearby and yess it is on 4th floor so u kinda start sweating when u reach there.Hope it helps you!

Its not one step, more than 100 steps (on the 4th floor) to reach ''one step hostel''. The hostel is very near to Gateway of India, colaba market and churchgate is 1.8 kms away. It's good for 2/3 days, multi sharing hall bed is at 350/- per day(no food). Single rooms are also available. AC is timings from 10pm to 5am. We should ask them when water is not coming. We should ask free WiFi, otherwise they won't tell. No washing allowed. Water bottles available but 20/- rupees per bottle. We can find the stairs backside of the bus stop (till first floor wooden steps).

It is one of most affordable hostel for the students and the solo travelers if they are in very tight budget the staffs are also very nice. As a solo traveller you can explore more and its gives you peace and sences of satisfaction.

They cancelled my online booking of single room & then offered single bed in dormitory which I had to take bcoz of paucity of time. Pros- 1) cheapest rate 2) nice locality (gateway of India & hotel Taj within 5 min walking distance) Cons- 1) on 4th floor. NO ELEVATOR. You will curse your decision to book here every time while climbing those stairs. 2) water shortage after 10 am. Out of 3 available only 1 decent bathroom. 3) NO AC DURING DAY. AC time- 10 pm- 6 am. You just can't stay there during day. 4)they can & they will cancel your online booking if they have customer infront of them paying in cash. Book only if you are looking for cheap single night stay.

Very small and crowded dormitory. Seeing that it did not met our expectations, my friends and I tried to cancel our booking, but the receptionist refused point blank to give us or passport back (I guess he was trying to retain us). Ultimately (5-10min of heated discussion + call to a manager that was not helpful at all) he gave our passports back. I do not recommend this place.

A great little place in south Mumbai!! The place is clean, the price is fair, the team is very friendly and even help me with my visa situation (Cform) for foreigners. I truly recommand this place as its well located and even pretty quiet for Mumbai!! Thank you very much One Step Hotel !
