One Day Palace - Hotel in Kozhikode - Kozhikode, India

Had booked a non ac for two people for 1.5k. Completely worth the price. The location is also very good, just opposite the railway station. Service was also excellent, with an extremely friendly receptionist. They also provide facilities like drinking water directly to the room, we just need to place a call. Restaurant service can be improved.

The hotel is very near to Railway Station. Rooms are spacious and clean. Good parking facility. Staff were polite and welcoming. There's a restaurant who serves non-veg as well in the ground floor only.

Location: Very close to railway station, but on the side of a one way road. Adequate parking space. Multiple confusing entrance though. Reception: Nice, helpful, friendly staff. Room: I had booked 2 premium AC rooms. One was changed to a suite by the hotel staff to accommodate kid (extra bed). Rooms were clean, suite room was spacious, comfortable bedding. BUT. Door. locks and bathroom door latches were all broken/damaged (Photo). AC was not switched on and remotes were not provided till i complained. Calling bell was not working and phone was not available in one room (Photo). Lift was functional and spacious. There were lots of ants Food: Good food from restaurant. But they insist on on the spot payment and i found that a bit rude. Recommendation: Overall, we had a comfortable stay, recommended for its location, comfort and fair pricing. They can definitely make improvements on certain aspects though, to make it an even better stay.

stay at one day palace was pleasant. checking in was hassle-free. Room and toilet were clean. eventhough bedsheets had stains, and hot water not available in morning. food taste was average. Spring bed. nice ambience.

Rooms are really good and washrooms too. Location is near to the Calicut railway station, train horns and sound is really annoying and you can't sleep.

Neat and clean room.Stay was good and quick check in. Electricity went down for sometime, drinking water they provided taste differently so better to take water for drinking by yourself other than that no issues faced.

Posting this review after my visit to 'One day palace' in Calicut. I visited there from Friday to Saturday in the first week of May 2023. I was quite disappointed by the stay there as the room was nothing like a standard AC room worth Rs2000. The AC had no cooling and turned the fan on to adjust the airconditioner. However, the regulator was not working. The paint was peeling from the walls of the room. The shower was not working in the bathroom. There was a bucket in the bathroom, but it was filthy. To my surprise, not even the basic amenities like a bottle of drinking water were provided in the room and we had to pay to get the drinking water. Tea was provided in the morning without asking, but they charged Rs18 per cup for that reason. On the flip side, I must say the meals with fish curry from there were delicious. That was the only thing which was positive other than the location near the railway station.

Room is okay fine. But no hot water in the bathroom. When asked for the same, got one bucket hot water in the morning. The Palace Kitchen Restaurant ambience is not very impressive, there are no fans. Also, there is very limited number of vegetarian items to eat, hardly 4 or 5 items to choose from. As there are no veg restaurants nearby, had no alternative, but to eat from Palace Kitchen.
