Om Namah shivaya. It's a very good Spiritual place being one among 12 Jyotirlingas. There's no longer a queue of devotees for having darshan, but the Pandits are pushing forward. As such it has become a great task to have a pleasant Darshan of Lord OMKARESHWAR.
Nice sup atmosphere there ... It is a mesmerising temple. On 1 side of the bridge is the Omkareshwar temple and on the flip side,Mambaleshwar. We were lucky not to witness much of crowd and got the darshan quite quickly. Pilgrims are'nt allowed to touch shivji's pindi and go within the main pooja area near the sanctum.
A religious pilgrim loved the surrounding atmosphere, trivani sangam and mamleshwar shivling.
1/12 one jyotirling of shivji... the nature is so cool. Lots of view point.. narmada river. Silence, green trees.
Pradakshin of this temple can be done in ferry. It is a beautiful temple of Mahadev. It is a very peaceful temple to visit.
The place near narmada river is best destination to visit in holidays.

Onkareshvar is one of 12 jyotirling where Bhagwan Shankar is in form of Linga. Situated on a river island of River Narmada, it can be approached by boat as well as connecting bridge. While passing bridge, vendors will urge for instant photographs, garlands etc. Upon reaching various Pujari will offer their services too for a Puja. We had a very short Puja after Darshan during our 3 hour visit. Extremely wonderful.
