Omkareshwar Temple Parking Area - Parking lot in Omkareshwar - East Nimar, India

We just happened to visit this temple on the previous day of Amavasya!! It was the month of Sawan. The rush was so overwhelming. Our tour guide stated that it was very difficult to surpass the crowd and get into the temple for darshan. We are so grateful to the pandit for having arranged a good darshan for us !

Omkareshwar Temple is a prominent Hindu temple located in the town of Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh, India. The temple also has several smaller shrines dedicated to various deities, including Lord Ganesha, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Vishnu. The temple attracts a large number of devotees and tourists throughout the year, especially during festivals like Mahashivaratri and Kartik Purnima. These occasions witness grand celebrations and processions, with devotees offering prayers and performing rituals with utmost devotion. Apart from its religious significance, Omkareshwar is also known for its scenic beauty. The town is surrounded by lush green hills and offers breathtaking views of the Narmada River. Pilgrims often take a boat ride around the island to soak in the peaceful and serene atmosphere.

Ample parking space is available. Omkareshwar temple is walking from here. Wheelchairs are available at the entry of parking space. Parking is not well organised but vehicles can be parked easily. Sometimes need to ask other vehicles to make a way to remove the vehicle.

This parking space is nothing but a chaos on weekends, holidays, festivals and Mondays! Best thing is to park wherever you get space!! The area closer to the temple gets jammed up and would be very difficult to get your vehicle out as well!

Onkareshwar os beautiful mandir near narmada river. Must visit place, water of narmada river is very clean and you need to take boat in the way to temple.
