Omkara Hill in Bangalore is a hidden gem that offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. The trek to the hilltop is a rewarding experience, surrounded by lush greenery and a serene ambiance. Once you reach the summit, the sight of the sprawling city below is nothing short of mesmerizing, especially during sunset or sunrise. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers and photographers. The calm and peaceful environment up there makes it a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. A must-visit for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty in Bangalore
The temple was quiet beautiful and environment was also full of greenery.because the temple located on the hill top you will feel the soft and lovely wind which relaxes you. There's many small temples also where you've to must visit. One thing I felt bad about this place was the way statue is placed is bad means not maintenance as much as expected.
Temple on hill top near RR Nagar with 12 Jyotirlinga (Lord Shiva), nice to visit along with family friend, easy drive till temple gate, pay parking available. Don't litter. It makes the world bitter.
Omkara hills is a place where you can see the beauty of Nature and also the Jyothir lingas at one place . Temple has a devotional look and we feel peaceful with the atmosphere. Renovation of temple below the hill is going on in a grand scale . The Trishul in front of the temple . Backside there is VanaDurga which is also very Beautiful with a Very Old Banyan Tree spread so huge with cool Breeze . Matsya Narayana temple . You have to do climbing or vehicle can also reach top from otherside of the temple. One thing I noted was maintenance is not done on regular cleaning of the temple and surrounding. If that is taken care , nothing to beat that place .
I recently visited Omkara Ashrama Mahaasamsthaana, a remarkable temple that truly left a lasting impression. This temple stands out for its unique concept, as it beautifully replicates the 12 jyothirlingas from 12 different regions of India. This innovation allows common people like me to witness all of these sacred sites without the need to travel extensively. One notable aspect of the temple is its strict policy against photography inside, which helps maintain the sanctity of the place. Despite the scorching sun outside, the temple's interior remained remarkably cool, providing a serene and comfortable environment for worship. Inside, I came across a magnificent giant clock, although it's currently not operational. This clock adds a touch of grandeur to the temple's ambiance. Adjacent to the main temple, there is a small hall called Dhyana Mandir. Stepping inside, I was enveloped in peace and silence, offering a perfect place to rejuvenate my soul. One of the most striking features of Omkara Ashrama Mahaasamsthaana is the 'Sarva Dharma Samanya Peetha.' At its center stands a majestic tree with countless branches, symbolizing diversity and unity. Around the tree, statues representing different religions are placed, conveying a powerful message of equality among all faiths. Overall, my visit to this temple was a truly enriching experience. It combines spirituality, serenity, and a message of unity in a unique and profound way. I highly recommend a visit to Omkara Ashrama Mahaasamsthaana to anyone seeking spiritual solace and a deeper understanding of India's rich religious heritage.
Good place with well designed and well carved details of each and every god and religion. Although the main temple has 12 jyotirlinga models, it has other places to cover as well. The approach road towards the hill is horrible and they collect entrance / parking fees as well. Parking is also on mud which makes it a lot worse if it rains. Also it's not peaceful anymore as it's a lot more crowded and no proper maintenance as well. Overall a decent place just to experience the beautiful idols and jyotirlinga.
Near to nice road and must visit place with family for scenic beauty and peace of mind. Though temple culture rotates around different fees/ money collection tricks, ignore those and enjoy the place and nature and come back
Powerful temple Has a shrine for Vanadurga, all of Shivji s Jyotirlingas and a meditation hall among other things such as ashram, shops etc
