Om Beach Resort-Jungle Lodges - Resort hotel in Gokarna - Uttara Kannada, India

Ambience and maintenance are good even though the rooms are old and need a little refurbishing. The food was delicious, staff courteous. But the manager was not friendly as they usually are in all other jungle lodges we have visited so far. We felt as if we were intruding in his work when we were checking in! Beaches are picturesque with a rare combination of hills and thick forests all along the coast

Great property Some service staff need to be trained to converse with customers, they have the typical attitude of a government office and they are doing you a favour. But otherwise it was ok.. rooms were a bit stuffy, needs to be aired once in a while I guess.

The beach itself is delightful. The accommodation is as near the beach as it gets. The approach road is rather tricky. The food is decent a long as you weren't expecting a grand spread. Go there for the beach and for a good time the very pleasant staff will give you.

Amazing well kept property. It's Gokarna's best kept secret. For the price being charged, the rooms are spacious, well kept, clean and with a touch of historical architecture. Lots of trees and forest setup. Great food. Especially the unlimited Bangda fish. Staff is cordial and has managed excellent cleanliness despite being in the middle of a jungle. The hotel room is clean and safe despite insects outside. Ayurvedic spa available.

Being a tourist destination Oam beach resort is always in high demand. Rooms are ok. Service is good. Serves good food. The surroundings are awesome. Good place for a laid back holiday or a weekend.

Beautiful property with Danish style cottages that have bedrooms with their own sitting room and visitor area. There are lots of uneven steps around the whole property, so would advise visitors to be careful. Food was quite good and with decent variety. There are two drawbacks: 1. The property is not on any beach. The nearest beach - Om, or Kudlu are both easily 4 to 5 km away and they too have steps going down to access the beach. 2. The swimming pool cleanliness was a bit doubtful so I did not use it. Use it only after verifying it yourself

Overall this is an okay place. Nothing much to complain about, but at the same time nothing much to be wow about. This is a bit away from any shop or public access, so having your own vehicle is preferred. Their packages include breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee and snacks which is a big plus. They have a jeep which will take you to beaches, temples etc provided you like to stick to their timings. Beaches like Kudlu/On beach don't have any public transport. So you either depend on their transport or drive your own. The roads are narrow and often end up in traffic jams towards beaches. We stayed here for a little over 2 days and my daughter enjoyed the play area and pool. The swimming pool needs maintenance and I found a lot of dry leaf dust on the surface. It may not be getting filtered very often. Rooms were clean even though buildings are slightly older in a village setting. Overall I would rate it 4/5. You may have similar or lower experience based on your preferences.
