Om Banna Temple - Hindu temple in Om Banna - Pali, India

I was simply awestruck when I stumbled upon this temple on my way to Jodhpur. It's fascinating that the deity or the power that we offer our Pooja is to a motorcycle. So the story is that Om Banna meets with a motorbike accident and sadly he dies at this place during the night, and the bullet that he was driving was brought back to the local police station, and mysteriously the bike just returned back to the place of accident. This was repeated multiple times. And thus people started believing in his power, and made it into a shrine. All the vehicles that do go through this route would stop here for blessing from bullet baba for a safe journey, it is now become kind of a ritual to do offerings here for a smooth and safe journey. You can see a lot of locals, families coming here. And you would be astonished to find them offering alcohol as offerings to his statue. I really did feel good to have gone here. Was quite an experience.

The temple is dedicated to Om Banna ji, who met with an accident on udaipur highway and his motorcycle was kept in police custody, but miraculously it appears in the same place every morning where that accident happened.

A temple is built in the memory of Om Banna and his bullet motorcycle, actually he had lost his control while riding his bike and hit a tree fell after hitting he died on the spot and his bike fell into the ditch Police tried to take away the bike to police station but every time the bike use to return back to the exact location so the local people and the man himself got the temple built.

This is the main, so called famous "Om Banna Temple", also known as Bullet Baba. Very soothing and good place. A must visit if one is transiting from Jodhpur to Pali.
