OLD SHER-A-PUNJAB - Punjabi restaurant in Shirdi - Ahmednagar, India

All in all it was one of the worst experience I had. Food was very expensive and the quality of food was very poor. The breads they served were not chewable. The Paneer Dish that was their signature dish was too spicy even by north indian standards. The quality of oil used in Paneer was very poor. Only thing that was eatable was the mixed veg raita. Then we ordered bread butter and Chai. They use margarine instead of butter was my best guess seing the quality of butter used.

Pathetic taste... Very poor quality taste. They serve smelly food. They are named 'Upupi' but there is no taste in South Indian meals. I strongly suggest "NO' from my side.

I went there because of the name Punjab which I soon realise was not true. The restaurant looks pretty nice from the outside but is very okayish from the inside. I ordered a stuffed Paratha and it did disappoint me a little bit as it was very thin and very less in quantity. I paid 80/- for the paratha and I feel it could have been much better for the price I paid. They do not accept card payments. Only cash or UPIs, so please bear that in mind.

SALAD SERVED WAS STALE AND ROTTEN. PUNJABI SABJI WAS HAVING METAL BRUSH HAIRS IN THE GRAVY. TASTE WAS AWFUL. WE CANCELLED THE ORDER AFTER STARTING OUR DINNER. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FOOD.

The worst service of the 9 hotels that we ate in a span of 4 days in shirdi. Expensive to others around. They treat you with poor since the time you place your order. Specially the people working there who call you inside to eat but after that it's the worst experience you face.

Bahut kharab khana, waste of money. The special thali of 120 Rs had soda rice, cabbage curry and few other items not worth mentioning. Frustrated with this, we ordered mushroom chilly which was too salty and loaded with food colour and sauces. Tandoori roti was made with maida and very hard to chew. This is one of the numerous eateries which line the road near the sai temple. Just dont fall for the fancy exterior.

Very nice food. Best hotel for punjabi food. Very nice and cooperative staff. Pocket friendly and hygienic restaurant. Must try Mango Mastani and Rabadi Faluda. Loved it a lot. Must visit.
