This was an old abode of the Royal Maloji Raje Family of Akkalkot. Shree Swami Samartha used to reside here quite often. Sadly the palace is in shambles. If this is remowated then this can become one of the main tourist attractions of the place. It used to house Armoury a few years back but it is now shifted to new Palace
This palace is now Open to all & Entry fees is 15rs per person, I visited this place on August 2023

Nice place to visit to take look at our old Maharaja's Wepans, ornaments and there cultural things. This old palace is now closed and they have all things to new palace. Old palace mostly closed all time. In palace it is better to maintain some gardens. It's look pretty and attract more visitors.
The old palace is well constructed but poorly maintained and no any look out in cleanliness .If do so is a good tourist place for visit.
Please do visit this place! It has an amazing collection of old war Armor. From year 1700 - 1800. Which was used in Shivaji Maharaj & Peshawa Era. No where in the world you'll find this much history's evidence at one place. Thanks to the Emperor 'King' back then. You can't click pictures there. Just capture it in your eye and mind.
Very old monument, build around 18th century by the king of akkalkot. The palace is mostly closed and not even maintained is it should be. This palace is very Olaf and build around 18th century in Indian fashion. You may find many other historical monuments near by.
