Old Kalika Hotel - Chicken restaurant in Azamgarh - Azamgarh, India

The taste is good..had heard a lot about this dhaba since i was a kid..you should come here if you want to have a really good mutton. The only con is they dont serve sufficient curry..the price is very genuine. rather its quite cheap. Parking may be an issue plus the seating in the dhaba is poor. So it would be better if you get your dish packed and have it anywhere else.

I have given to atmosphere 5 stars because they have maintained the original aura of the place, if they wanted it could have become one of those modern restaurants but not they preferred to serve the original taste and hospitality. Still the best (in their own way).

I have already visited kalika Hotel in other cities such as Lucknow, Noida etc previously. But Today I was in Azamgarh UP so seached for Old and Original Kalika Hotel and after the struggle in traffic I finally reached the destination. I am a non Veg lover specially Mutton. So I have ordered Mutton cooked on 'Chulha' with tawa roti . The taste was really Good. I have tasted fish fry and Kabab also. Kabab was good but fish was not hot. So I didn't like the fish much. The price was bit expensive. 4 piece mutton, 4 roti with small plate rice, 4 small piece fish and 1 kabab cost me 525 Rs. Which is bit expensive for one person. The taste was good and equivalent to the tasty mutton what we eat in East UP and Bihar. Hygiene is the issue which can make you hesitate to taste the mutton but once you taste the same you wouldn't regret. Overall I liked the place. The authentic desi mutton taste you can have here. This kind of taste you won't get in any fancy restaurant because taste comes when it is cooked on chulha and it takes time a lot. Roti was also cooking on chulha. According to me any non veg lover should visit this place. The taste was different with other kalika restaurants visited earlier.

Famous Restaurant of Azamgarh for Non Veg lovers. Taste is mind blowing. I loved it. Despite of being so popular, this place hasn't developed at all. Place is very congested. And last drawback is that this place is not for family.

Food quality is good, you can enjoy but atmosphere is not good.

Good place for non veg lovers, awesome taste that will not available at anywhere..
