Such a lovely tourist spot for nature loving people. But connectivity by road is horrible. Road was narrow and bumps made by local for braking car . Shortest route Katoria odhni dam is 22 km but there is no road. Don't go by this route. Bihar govt included this place as tourism spot but did not able to make a good road. In addition to that there is no security or medical assistant. Totally on bhagwaan bharose.
The place is a delight when the water level is high. During summers, it's a pity to visit this place. It is completely deserted and didn't seem very welcoming. Some wayfinding elements on the route would be highly appreciated.
Great place for fun and adventure on motor boat with family. Scenic beauty all around the dam will make you happy and your family will definitely enjoy this Dam with natural beauty and fun on Motor boat. I will highly recommend this place. Only drawback is the road to Dam is very narrow , people need to Drive carefully. Rest everything is fine.
I have travelled many places in India and i always keep wondering wether is there some place we can go, relax and enjoy in Bihar. It was an evening and i was in Banka district for some reason, suddenly my brother planned to visit the dam as he had visited the place earlier, i had no idea but as soon as I drived towards the Odhni dam i was amazed to see the surroundings on the way also the final place was very peaceful, i always want to know more about Bihar and i am glad that i did visit this place.
There is a small line hotel and a soda shop and a black boat ride on the dam. There is parking and a small park with seating facilities for people.
Odhini Dam is Located about 20km from banka.Not well maintained environment around dam.but boating system is quite impressive
Nice place for enjoyments on weekends specially boating and photo shoots.
The place is still in development phase. But ignoring that, it's a good place to travel. Not much crowded in week days. But during weekends it can have few extra people, but not too crowded. Has a big parking space. Fooding is not good. But soft drink and water facility is abundant. The only thing to take care of is the final route to reach here. If you are by car, then have an expert driver as the road to this place in the end is a one way very narrow road. Given the idea, if you are by swift, then only you and a cautious bike can fit on the road, with no extra room for a person to stand. And along side road is some 15 foot cliff with no railing to guard. So be careful. Do have boating experience. The fresh air of surrounding environment will release you from all your worries and tiredness. And to have an adventure experience, there is a hill which you can climb by on you own as there is no stairs or railing guard. You are all by yourself. Take it as your Man vs Wild LITE version.
