Location and the outdoor eating experience is the one great thing. We went during off season / weekday and it was still 50% full. Service is great but there is no menu. They have a set of standard menu mostly Chicken and couple of Vegeterian options. Food I will say as less than 3 star but Service and atmosphere is 5 star. Nothing wrong in trying once if you are in that area

We searched for a near by restaurant on our way to Catherine falls in Kotagiri and found this restaurant. This is a simple restaurant with limited menu. The food was simple less spicy but very flavourful. They also have biscuits and tea for sale which taste good and must buy from them. The best part is it's ambience they have an artificial pond made near a small hill and you will see all koi fishes which is an absolute delightful sight to watch! They are open only for lunch! Simple, limited food with best view, service was reasonable but definitely enjoyable experience!

Incredible views!! The restaurant is on the edge of a small lake in the cusp of a small valley. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Having lunch in this surroundings is an experience of a lifetime. They open only for lunch, from about 12.30-3.00 pm. No evening snacks, dinner or breakfast, so please time your visit carefully. The menu is Indian (mostly veering towards non-veg, but veg options are also available ) and rates are quite affordable. There are ample parking facilities and the restrooms are very well maintained. Highly recommended. Must visit.

Great ambience with good food , perfect place for taking photos,but travelling 20-30 kms for food is not worthable ,it would be A pros if you were visiting Catherine falls ,but roads are very dangerous,Be careful while going to Catherine falls . Lunch time is till 2pm only after that I don't know whether they open restaurant in night or not

A beautiful place with great scenic view. Chicken Biryani and Lemon chicken are a must try dish here. With a lovely view of the pond with Koi fishes and good food this is a must visit place when your in kotagiri.

Main positive about this hotel is atmosphere, food was below average, and service was too poor, if you are visiting here on any working day that would be fine, but in holidays and long weekend we have to wait for minimum 15 for taking order.

During my recent visit to Odae, I was met with a combination of both satisfying and slightly underwhelming experiences. The food offered was decent, falling somewhere between average and exceptional. However, what truly set this place apart was its enchanting ambiance. One of the key highlights of Odae is its picturesque location adjacent to a serene pond, teeming with lively fish. This unique setting elevates the dining experience to a different level altogether. The gentle rustling of leaves, the peaceful glistening of the water, and the lively fish swimming around make for an ethereal dining backdrop that can easily make you forget about any reservations you might have about the food. Speaking of the cuisine, while it might not be mind-blowing, it certainly satisfies the palate. The standout dish for me was the Chicken 65. The tender pieces of chicken were infused with a distinct chat masala flavor, delivering a satisfying and flavorful punch. It's worth noting that while some of the other dishes might not leave a lasting impression, the Chicken 65 is a definite recommendation. What added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal was the presence of my family. The ambience and the opportunity to dine by the pond created a perfect atmosphere for quality family time. My son, in particular, was thoroughly engaged by the experience of feeding the fish in the pond. This simple yet delightful activity added an element of fun and interaction that complemented the meal perfectly. In retrospect, while the food at Odae may not be exceptional, the overall experience of dining amidst such serene surroundings, combined with the opportunity for family bonding and unique activities like fish feeding, make it a worthwhile visit. If you're seeking an extraordinary dining atmosphere that compensates for slightly average fare, Odae is the place to go.
