the oldest market of this city, which in mughal era was known as rekabi bazar. still now it is the biggest wholesale market of groceries.
It is a very good market to buy vegetables. All the vegetables are come from the banks of river Damodar. They are very organic & fresh.
Vegetable, fruits, groceries, stationary, pooja material, tailor, sweets, smacks, etc available here. I went to purchase fruits & vegitables. Price quite high. Only one shopkeeper accepted payment via UPI. Congusted area. However nearly everything available.
Fresh products are a little bit more costly compared to other markets.

It a good market place for best quality fresh vegetables in a moderate rate. Different kinds of fresh fish from nearby ponds and some sea fish like hilsha are also available most of the time. However, there is no meat shop within the Natunganj market, chicken/mutton shops are available nearby the market close to Rajbati campus. Vegetable market remains open from early morning to early afternoon everyday. Very few vegetable including some groceries and small cloth shops remain open even up to 9pm
Good for daily family vegetable and fish marketing at a budget price.
