NST bus stand is located just about 2- 3 minutes walk from Dimapur railway station. This is a very small bus stand. Used this bus stand to go to Kohima. No proper bus timings are followed here. We have to buy tickets for Kohima bound bus before entering bus, but the tickets are issued only when bus is there at bus stand. Passengers are not allowed to stand and travel in buses bound for Kohima. Apart from Kohima , there are buses to other places in Nagaland also from this bus stand. Few shops selling bottled water,snacks etc are there near this bus stand. Few hotels and restaurants are there near this bus stand. The taxi stand from where we can get share taxis to Kohima is just at exit of railway station/bus stand. A ticket from Dimapur to Kohima in government bus costs Rs 100 and in share taxis it's about Rs 350 per person ( Rates per person varies as per type of car).
