Nocturnal zoo - Zoo in Ahmedabad - Ahmadabad, India

I visited the zoo for the first time and it looks very beautiful from the outside but the only problem is that these living beings should be free from the cages, I was worried how these animals are living in very small cages which is not having enough spaces for them and just think about these birds which are meant to fly but are caged in a very small space, I will never go to these zoo ever again.

Kankaria Zoo in Ahmedabad is India's first nocturnal zoo. The two-floor zoo is designed to create a night-like environment in the day time and vice versa. It was built in 2017, keeping nocturnal animals such as Hedgehog, Jungle cat, and Striped Hyena. It is designed in a a way as to give it a jungle-like texture. While these animals usually sleep during the day and stay awake at night, the house manipulates light to ensure that nocturnal animals stay awake during day and sleep at night. The visitors were not able to see such animals sleeping during visiting hours at the Kankaria zoo but now as the nocturnal house has been built the visitors are be able to view the animals moving around. The need to observe certain animal species (nocturnal animals) during night hours led the zoo to acquire land of about 6 acres from across the existing zoo at the one tree hill garden compound.

This zoo is the worst I've ever been to. It's seriously not maintained, and the whole place stinks. It's quite a tightfisted operation. Sadly, the visitors' behavior is absolutely terrible. They're loud, rude, and obnoxious, yelling, taunting, whistling, and even waving water bottles at the poor animals. There's zero supervision or anyone around to address any of these issues. I visited on a weekday to avoid the crowds, but the experience was just awful. Seeing the white tigress pacing restlessly because of the people making noise around her was truly heart-wrenching

Special zoo for the creatures who prowl during night time. Unique concept and one of its kind. 1st they show you video and then you procede to the zoo. The enclosures are all dark and only little little of blue color is projected to stimulate moonlite. Ticket is included in the main zoo ticket.

Had visited this zoo this month..though I'm very fond of animals,i thought spaces given for each animal is very limited...I'm actually against the whole idea of zoo..just imagine putting you in a cage( though golden) for your entire life..wild animals look good only in wild natural environment not caged, just for our amusement..

No photo is allowed inside the park. Very dark inside the zoo which can scare anyone and good air circulation.
