Island in the Kaveri river hosting bamboo forest, deer park, bird park & small adventure area.
Bamboo forest are of good experience and the pathway is decorated with the life size displays of historical lifestyles of ancestors in this region.
Deer park is small but having lots of spotted deer which children's can have a closer look. Couldn't stop think that this is similar to zoo though.
Bird park is also small and having limited bird varieties but maintained well.
Adventure park include zip line, hurdle crossing and obstacle courses.
Overall nice place to spend with kids and family.
Nisargadhama reserve is one of the main tourist spot in Coorg / Madikeri, in Karnataka. Situated near the Madikeri-Mysore-Bangalore highway.
27 km away from Madikeri town, 30to40 minutes journey by car/bike.
Parking spaces are separately arranged for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, and they must pay the parking fee. ( Rs10/Rs20) The park entry fee, charged at Rs40 for one person (August 2023), will change with the seasons.
The hanging bridge It is one of the main attractions, and you walk into the bridge to enter the park. Boat service, elephant service, bird park, zip line, deer park, tree house, and game activities are available; you can choose according to your taste.
The bamboo tree is one of the main attractions in the park. And it makes the park very vibrant. And another side has the famous Kaveri River running beautifully. Karnataka's famous cultural statues of different dance forms placed in the park to watch.
Inside the park one minimum set up restaurant opened for the tourist. And also I saw some cottages in side the park for stay.
We can simply roam the park and enjoy the nature beauty. Mostly people will spend 3 to 4 hours this park. And people are engaged with photography.
If you want to sit and take a short rest, there are so many seats and rest places in the park, but most of the seats are very dusty, dirty, and not cleaned, and it is one of the bad experiences in this park. It was my second visit, and I faced the same issue as the first. I hope it will fix in very shortly.

Great place to hangout with friends. Nicely structured routes to walk and view is amazing in between bamboo trees. They allow you inside to hold birds and take pictures well.
Nisargadhama Reserve/Park/Birds park place is very beautiful .Reason for 3 star rating poor Maintenance. When I last visited back to back 3 years it's reduce its beauty year on year only by poor maintenance. Parking area improved by laying interlocks. Homemade chocolates, Coorg special tea/ coffee, fancy items , bags , sanders, keychains , home made wines available in premises. Lots of food stalls , chocolate stalls main attraction of nisargadhama, birds area also nice.
This is a wide spread bamboo forest, with statues depicting local tribal people in their daily activities.
Also there is a bird sanctuary inside, along with some activity area which have a separate fee for either.
