Nirvana Retreat - Resort hotel in Kurseong, Goethals - Darjeeling, India

Lovely place built with great care. Kanchenjunga views. Lounging areas with books ( no TV). Good food served by well trained waiting staff. Clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds. Only shortcoming was that there was absolutely no mention made on the website nor at time of booking on instructions to reach the place. After getting lost several times with Google maps taking us up several roads with no further way to proceed, after several calls, somehow managed to reach. Note- From Kurseong town, follow a road with a big ONE WAY sign, marked as Baghgora road on map, all the way through all twists and turns past Dow Hill to reach this place.

This is such an amazing property in exact lap of nature.A very well maintained and beautiful property. Our family room with porch was huge. Every room in the property is mountain facing. Its like waking in the lap of nature. We have spotted wild birds along with a deer from nearby forest. Service and food was great. I had the most serene and beautiful experience there.

Excellent experience of staying. Very courteous staff and prompt service. Adriana is an excellent guide to getting your eating experience customized for you. But one small issue they should take care of. If the electricity goes off in the morning before 7 30 ,we found that there was no one to put on the generator. One could not make tea also till after 7 30 when staff arrives. No one was available on any phone call. Even the manager in charge did not bother to meet and explain, when a message was sent about this lapse in the morning. But to be fair it is worth the money. The resort is a labour of love. The view I have never seen Mt. Kanchenjunga many times form Darjeeling but form this place nirvana it's truly amazing and you can enjoy the tea and the delicious snacks with the view truly amazing highly recommend

We never stayed there. We spotted this resort during sightseeing at Kurseong and our driver recommended as a good place to have some tea. We occupied a table in the balcony and orders Tea and Sandwich. Food was good and staffs were courteous. Also, the view from the balcony was mesmerizing.

Amazing, heaven on earth with mesmerising views and nature at its best. You can spend days after days in the lap of nature at Nirvana. Amazing people, amazing food and serene beauty. Stay atleast 3 nights here is highly recommended. Hospitality at its best. Lush greenery everywhere

This one is a property I also long for going back to. I visited twice and still can't get over. The location of this property is the first thing that attracted me, how it is situation amidst the dense pine forests of Dowhill, making the surroundings are so serene and mystical. However, after staying there, I fell in love with everything about this place. The rooms are elegantly and tastefully decorated, always flawless clean, very spacious and comes with balconies that have a mesmerising view of the Kanchenjunga and pine forests. The food menu has all things that we love, and the food taste and quality is beyond extraordinary. Whatever cuisine you order, it is equally great. All the staffs and managers, be it at the restaurant, the reception, anywhere, are always so attentive and careful about their guests' requirements and convenience, that it feels like home. The decor of the whole resort is so artsy and aesthetic. They also have a tea lounge with floor to ceiling glass walls and wooden decor, which is a great place to have some tea and snacks overlooking the beautiful surroundings, at any time of the day. The managers Rajat and Subham are always so professional and yet so warm with their behavior. I can go on and on about this place, and it would never end, so I'll just say for now that the experience you get here is hundred times more than the price you pay.

A real gem of a place to stay in, a little beyond Kurseong town. Well appointed, comfortable rooms with balconies or sit outs for spectacular views! Bathrooms were also well appointed. Dining room menu is superb and every dish is made so well, customized to one's requirements. All the staff are courteous, knowledgeable and so very helpful. I must make special mention of Adriana, Subham and Nihal who helped us so much for everything that we needed. Truly, we were made to feel special. Ultimately, that is the feeling every guest wants to come away with!
