Nileshwaram Palace - Historical place museum in Nileshwar - Kasaragod, India

Nice Nileshwaram or Nileshwar or Neeleswaram is a municipality and a major town in Kasaragod District, state of Kerala, India. It is one of the three municipalities in Kasaragod district; the others are Kasaragod and Kanhangad. Nileshwaram is located on the estuary of Kavvayi Backwaters and Neeleshwaram

Now this is a pay parking place

Nileshwar is the cultural capital of Kasargod dist in Kerala. There we can see so many old antique buildings like palaces, temples etc.

This is the citadel of the Nileshwaram royality. who belonged to the clans of the Kolathiri and Zamorins. The Nileshwar Rajahs and the Bednore Nayaks battled in this area. This in ruined state with out proper care but it is major spot in the history of this place. Efforts are on for restoration.

It's near to town... But not worthy to visit there as no one has the interest for maintenance. Somebody has to take care of this as this has many stories to tell us.
