It was a great experience with fun for kids and history lesson for adults. Looking at the Mumbai historical monuments from the double decker bus was amazing. You get a different and unique view which is not possible by driving. Highly recommended.

Nilambari - Mumbai's Heritage tour bus ride facility is an apt way to go through the bylanes of South Mumbai & get a feel of the city's rich legacy & heritage The bus tickets are easily available over the counter just opposite the Wellington fountain square & National Art Gallery (you could easily spot conductors near the bus stops & ask them.. they are helpful) . This is a 1hour tour .. takesupto 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. There are AC double-decker buses available too at the same price .. but an open bus would have its own charm.. The tour buses start 3 PM onwards & are available at a regular frequency till 11pm.. please don't be disheartened by looking at unavailability on online booking portals.. unless it's a holiday weekend - you will get a ticket directly at the counter easily. Great service by BEST. 4 stars for a smooth tour in just 150/- INR per person .. 1 star less for a missing audio guide, which would have been perfect .

If you're just visiting Mumbai or have lived here forever, do spend (price for guided tour) Rs. 190 on this and see Bombaiii full tourist style!
