This is an off-beat place just 60 Kms away from Bangalore. Perfect for a weekend or weekday getaway. We went there on a weekday and it was very peaceful with less crowd. You might be a little confused near the entry point as you will have to cross an underpass. But we were able to cross it on our bikes even though it had ankle-deep water. Pro-tip: Be ware of Monkeys They wont shy away from taking your bags looking for food, if you leave them unattended.
Serene and interesting place to visit for short hiking and camping. Trek up to the top and find a temple located in a cave... There's ample space to pitch your tent... loved the place!!!
I have visited this place two times. It's a nice place to watch beautiful sunrise standing between the clouds. The view of the highway from the top is amazing after the sunset. We camped here and it was a peaceful quiet place to watch the city from a distance and to enjoy nature at its best. There are two ways to reach the top. If you select the bike option in Google maps it will suggest you a route which has no proper parking and needs to trek almost 2km to reach the top. Car option will take you to the proper parking from there approx 1km trek to the top. At the top, there is a temple and a dargah. If you walk through the side you can find the route to the top and will give you an amazing view in all directions. Note: Do carry enough water since you will not find any shops or sellers on the way or top. We do have a lot of monkeys here, so please be careful about your belongings and don't carry food to avoid getting attacked by monkeys. Also kindly requesting the people to keep it clean and don't throw your trash here. Cheers
It's a bit confusing to get to the location of the starting point and that to during the rainy season. Need to cross the railway track to reach the point. Anyway the trekking was moderate and overall experience was realy very good .
A short trek of 1.5km takes you to a good spot sporting 360deg views. Worth a visit. Make sure you carry enough water for the hike.
I am traveling to Bangalore, That first time I watched this mountain was through the window of the traveller bus, It is beautiful and very greenery around this mountain. Good treat Eyes to watch this rock mountain. Beautiful Experience, I hope I will trek this mountain one day.
Reach early morning, moderate trek, view on top is very good, with cave formations in between huge rocks, near to Bangalore, must visit
Very Nice Place To Trekking and Sunrise View very Close to The Highway So Easy to Go Half way in Bike and 30 miks Walk To The Peak! 5/5 Recommended :) The Lights Are also There At The night so No worry to trekking at Early morning.. Not Sure about Safety...!!
