Went here on a random weekend, first of all the location is amazing, isolated, peaceful and very quite. Rooms are good and clean, pool is amazing, an absolute place to chill, Lil pricey in terms of rooms and food but otherwise amazing, staff was very friendly and accomodating, especially people like Ashok made our stay really nice!
This place is managed by just 3 people. Kudos to them for giving the best service that they could considering the workload.
This property is falsely advertised. We booked 1 standard room, which was nowhere near the pics which were shown prior to booking, in the pics, room looks like a good 4 star, but in reality it was bad. When i told the same to the property manager, he said that it's not his problem and we should contact malnad tourism for this.
The food was average. They should do something about the open spacing and bugs there, a lizard literally dropped in my plate from the ceiling.
Overall this place is very over expensive, 6k for a below average room, 400 bucks per head for below average food.
The 2 km stretch leading up to the property is not constructed.
I would avoid going here in future, not worth it. You will get better options with the same price.
I had a very bad experience booking this resort.
We had 6 adults and 2 kids and booked 3 rooms and 2 days.
Positive:
1. Pool is well maintained and it is very neat
Negative:
1. There is no AC any of their rooms and they are claiming that it will be chill in the evening. Paying a decent amount and not having AC is not at all acceptable. Unfortunately, there was no chill/mist as the person told even in the night.
2. In any resort/hotel where you stay for more than a day, they will clean the room next day; you shouldn't expect that from this resort. Rooms were not clean and there were some dust in the Bed when we entered into the room first and we need live with that. No cleaning in the next day
3. Ceiling fan was not working in one of our room and they adjusted with a table fan. In so much hot without having AC, can you imagine adjusting with a table fan?
4. TV was not there in the other room. I am not sure how they can charge so much without even having a TV only. And for the other room TV has to be connected to their Wifi, but Wifi was not working for a day. The person has came immediately after we called, but no used; he couldn't rectify that
5. One room was so congested where you don't space to walk after they put coat, other two had a decent space in it
6. They are charging Rs.400 for lunch and dinner and they menu doesn't had any varieties. We were given a menu before we goes there and it was not matching with actual item there. Since we had 6 adults ordered for food they gave 6 small ball of watermelon and desert and when we asked a ball for kid, they said they can't give as we ordered only for 6(our kids were below 3 yrs, you can imagine how much they will eat)
7. First day, they kept 1ltr of water in each room which they suppose to give next day also. When we asked second day, they said you should pay for it as it is 1ltr/room( I think even if you stay for a week, they will give only 1 ltr)
8. For any breakfast, we atleast expect a Bread, Jam, Egg ..etc which you shouldn't expect it in this resort.
9. There is no activity in the resort apart from Swimming Pool
10. No toilet tissues
We booked this through Malnad Stays and the picture of room, menu for food which was shared was not at all matching with actual. After coming from resort, I had checked with executives of Malnad that did you visited that place and he said NO. Without knowing the place, they are marketing to customer which is not good I think.
I am giving 1 rating as atleast I was happy with Swimming Pool
The food was good. Home made food great for the tummy.
The staff were very courteous.
Good Retreat for a weekend getaway
Overall it's a nice place for not more than a weekend.
The area is quiet and full of greenery. The staff is good.
Food can be better and not worth 500 per person. They can have more activities and amenities inside their premises.
Wanted to get away from the city life to a quiet peaceful place. Wasn't disappointed from this location. One of the best destination. Food was really good. People and management was awesome.
It can be called extended Homestay.. pool facing villas are nice but not clean.. place is nice if you want to chill out and relax on your own. They won't organise anything.. owner seems to money minded.
Wonderful experience. Stay, service, staff, amenities, food are great. But they charged high for food apart from package or buffet .Mesmerising views. Multiple shots for photoshoots. One of the must visit in monsoon for family and friends.
