It has been given the status of institute of national importance this year making it stand with institutes like IITs, IIMs etc. One of the best colleges in India for studying food technology. Labs are highly equipped. Campus is beautiful and well maintained. Just feel there is lack of experienced senior faculty and guidance if you wish to do research work here. Fees is also on higher side like private institutes. Recommended for b.tech food technology.

Food served in mess is of good quality teachers are very bad here in niftem i went to give an entrance exam here... one mam was threatening to disqualify me I asked her the reason on which reason she will disqualify me, she said I don't want any reason to disqualify you. She said that I am a teacher of NIFTEM, I can do anything, I can finish your entire career. You will have to beg in front of me .... Such immature behavior, that too from a NIFTEM teacher was not expected at least employ some good mature teachers... I am giving one star rating to this institute bcoz of teachers. ...and I am sure karma will hit that lady teacher.
