The first Chinese restaurant I have ever visited in Kalimpong and I wasn't disappointed. Suitable place for get together, we had a small reunion with our teacher and classmates here and it was wonderful experiences, the staff were helpful and friendly, service is good too. FOOD also good, found the authenticity in the food. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to enjoy quiet ambience of the restaurant and experience Chinese food.
Great food, good ambience. Just have one small complaint. We ordered sea food platter and it had all the best of sea food that are available, but we found that capsicum is not at all required. The strong flavour of capsicum has overshadowed the delicate and mild flavours of sea foods like crabs, octopus and squids.
We have been living in this pretty town for quite some time now and exploring good food has always been a part of our life in any place. While looking up for a dinner date place for the husband man's birthday, someone suggested Ni Hao! The man loves good Pork Ribs and is quite picky when it comes to it. And Ni Hao did keep up to its name... What Pork Ribs! Delish.. the man was bloody impressed and so was I... The sweet lady taking the orders did help us a lot in picking what we wanted to have and the other dishes too were so upto the mark. The chilly pork was the star of the show.. I wonder where do they get such good smokey flavour... Overall much impressed. We are surely visiting Ni Hao super soon!
This place is slightly further from the city center, and I ventured here since it was highly rated. This is a quaint little place, clean and looks like a family run restaurant. You can see reviews of others on the walls, which add to the vibe. The service was prompt with a young lady manning the place. Ordered Pork Ribs, Honey chilli potatoes and Fresh Lemonade here. The food was pretty good. However, the food is pretty expensive by any standards. A glass of lemonade is 150 bucks, Pork Ribs is about 410 while the honey glazed potatoes are 250 odd.
I ordered hot and sour soup, ni hao special chicken in starters and mixed fried rice along with classic chilli chicken. The hospitality and the food both were amazing. I come to this place whenever I visit kalimpong.
Dropped by for a quick lunch on our way down to Dooars. The food was great and the service was impeccable. Really made us feel at home. Highly recommended.
