We visited this place cause our research said this cafe is known for it's coffee and falls in the top 5 best coffee makers in India... We opted to have breakfast here. Ordered for diff dishes like idli sambar, dosa, some bun puri dish that is famous. It was a good one. But the overall vibe of the cafe is gloomy. It has this AC compartment but it's not so posh. Looks like they don't really focus on the look and feel of the cafe. Additionally, there are food items like indian desserts and cakes available at this cafe. Their coffee was quite strong. Diff in taste but a good one.

Must try: Veg meals. It is so tasty. They serve you in banana leaf. Pocket friendly hotel. Service was fast. Waiter was friendly and kind. They have good parking space for private vehicles.

Horrible place. It was one of my worst experience ever. Had ordered idly which was raw inside, vada which was old and refried. Only the buns was edible. The chutney was old and had a foul smell. It had some weird layer on top of it. We raised to complain to the server however, completely ignored us. I shared the feedback to the owner and he said eat it or leave it but pay the bill. I had gone for breakfast and this experience just ruined my day. No respect for the customers and I wish his arrogance level matched the food quality. This is just sad to know that such places are operational and have been cheating people since a decade. This is not my first bad experience, I tried this place years back and shared my bad experience on Zomato. I had hoped that they had improved and gave it a shot again. Poor food and pathetic service and overall a horrendous experience. For good breakfast I recommend janatha delux, sagar ratna or chutney.

One of the oldest restaurants of Mangalore, Known for breakfast and evening snacks. It's an old building with AC . Service is good and quick. Tuppa Dose (Ghee Dose), Goli baje, Mangalore Buns - Recommended. Their Strong tea/ Coffee is also good. They also have sweets. Banana Halwa is recommended. If you want to try, they have other flavored Halwa s as well. Digital payments are accepted. Good Four wheeler parking space.
