The food quality was average. We've tried Chicken Kabiraji, Fish Cutlet, Mutton Devil, Plain Paratha & bottled cold drinks. According to the taste, Chicken Kabiraji was the best among others, secondly the Fish Cutlet. The mutton devil was served with some gravy which was completely unexpected. And for that reason the parathas were ordered. The mutton devil tasted like a mutton cutlet dipped in gravy only and honestly didn't liked it that much. Overall it was an ok ok experience for us.
Visited This Restaurant . The rustic decor, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff create a 90s vibe. Sitting area is quite small. Price of the dishes is very reasonable taste is also nice
It is a good place to eat, definitely the food is awesome. Cutlets, and other items for a light meal are available here. The location has regular traffic of vehicles. The New Restaurant produces a 1980's vibe while having food. Recommended for tourists and nearby dwellers.
The New Restaurant is situated in Gole Bazar, near Navjeevan & Mangaljyoti showrooms. This is one of the oldest & one of the finest restaurants of the City of Kharagpur. Those who are born and brought up here in this beautiful British Colonial Railway City & also the City of India's first & one of the best IIT, must be nostalgic about this special restaurant since there childhood days! Mughlai Paratha, Mutton & Fish Cutlets are the famous delicacies here along with Biryani, Fried Rice, lots of other Chicken/Mutton/Fish items, Rotis, Sweets, Ice Cremes, Cold Drinks etc. The owners tried to kept it's good old vintage look on the interiors & on the outside too, which is again act as a catalyst to boost up your childhood nostalgia. A long-standing legacy food joint that still holds on to its place as one of the top places to have Mughlai Paratha in the city. The rates here are affordable and food dishes are tasty. The interior ambience is still old school and has not changed much from before as there is no need.
