New Lucky Star Group of Houseboats - Hotel in Srinagar - Srinagar, India

Our family stayed at the houseboat last week for three days and it was wonderful. We also got our trip package planned by the houseboat owner Javeed Pakhtoon. This was my dads second time at the boat house as he loved the service and people the last time he visited. The house boat is towards the less crowded area in dal lake with a beautiful view of the mountains. Boat ride to the place takes hardly 5mins. The boat house is just a few kms away from old market street and lal chowk which can be explored. Food at the boat house is home cooked by the family who stay behind and its good. We specially loved the poha , kashmiri pulao, aloo dum and kheer prepared. Farooq ji who is the care taker is extremely helpful and a good man. He took care of us very well and was always ready to provide some advice and tips on travel, shops, rates that are reasonable to give for horse rides etc and what to expect in places we visit for that day. The place is well maintained and has a old world charm to it.. they have books and old photographs. There is a common living space, dining area and a front porch to sit and relax. The trip was well planned by Javeed ji and we got to explore a lot of places. Our driver Sajjad also needs a special mention here. He was very polite and friendly. He made sure we were not scammed by the unions in tourist places.He was always letting us know in advance what places are worth visiting and what rates are reasonable.He took us to some really good tea shops, less crowded view points, grass lands and gave us enough time to enjoy the places. He was kind enough to take us to good places for shopping clothes, kesar, kahwa, trinkets and souvenirs. It was a memorable experience because of the team built by Javeed ji. Trustworthy and honest people. Will visit again for sure.

Recently we stayed at this property, safe and free parking facility nearby and their caretaker Mr. Farrukh bhai take care of guest as a family member. He is very kind and polite and helps in arranging all the things you need at the houseboat. Feels like home even a miles away. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Even the washroom were kept neat and clean. We would definitely recommend this houseboat.

Wonderful experience. Firstly, the houseboat is at a lovely location that doesnt face the main road, making it all the more peaceful. The space is clean and elegantly done & the beds are comfortable. Farooq sir is a pleasant and helpful host who went out of his way to look after us.

We stayed on this house boat lucky star from 26th to 30th March. It was a pleasant experience.The view of Zabarwan & other snow clad mountains is amazing. Javed Bhai & caretaker took utmost care to make our stay comfortable. Cannot forget the two hour shikara ride. Hot Vegetarian food was prepared in a homely atmosphere & was hygenic.Cannot forget Javed bhai's hospitality. I would definitely recommend stay in Lucky Star for my friends intending to visit Kashmir valley.

I stayed on this houseboat currently and I want to thank the owner, for such a wonderful time that we had. The boat is great and very comfortable and ideally situated for exploring the area around Srinagar. It has all the facilities you could wish for and the staff made us very welcome. The taste of food is also great! Thankyou for such hospitality..

Awesome experience. Comfy rooms, splendid interior, homely food, good service, hospitality and ambience. Feels like it's away from the Dal lake crowd even though it's easily accessible from the main area. Strongly recommend if you're looking for an enjoyable houseboat stay in Dal lake.

My stay was comfortable. The staff was polite, humble, honest and hospitable. The house boat "lucky star" we stayed on was calm and clean. The food they serve is home made, fresh and organic. The manager Mr Javed has a special personality and is having a great knowledge of Kashmir valley.

The service and the stay was extremely pleasurable and memorable. The house boat was beautiful and the staff and owners were very helpful and cordial. The food was great. Shikara ride was beautiful. Overall, highly recommended for couples, friends and family.
