It's really nice to enjoy a bath in sea water with sea sore. However make sure to check the tide time in high tide the sea beach is under water it will only be good to go with low tide. For information water has too much sand mixed with it. Surroundings have markets. In the evening you are able to enjoy sea fish fry at footpath stalls and lots of local jewellery made with sea things and local goods available there.
Wonderful Beach..this beach is situated near Kolkata.First of all You will come Kolkata by bus or Train ..then you can go by bus from Agertala bus stop to Digha or You could Also Go by Train From Howrah to Digha ...There is some difficulty for vegetarian foods... Overall nice beach

Visited on a weekday, very crowed but overall nice experience. It was high tide around that time and then the sandy beach was visible during the low tide phase. The complete stretch from old digha to new digha till Dheusagar Park have undergone beautification. The boundary wall is now covered with marble. The second Jaganath temple (similar to Puri Jagannath Dham) construction is in full force, it will surely act as additional crowd puller, Jaganath Ghat has already been designated just between old digha and new digha. Earlier there was a lot of sand beach before the beautification, but now more than 50% are covered with rocks and boulders even in New Digha.
Full of crowd at the beach. Sea shore is full of rock, I actually injured my foot while approaching the sea water. Mandarmoni beach is much better than this one
