Netuk House - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

Best hotel at reasonable prices. Hotel with sufficient and well trained staff. Good location with spacious rooms and valley view open space . Good food , proximity of MG road market.

We stayed in Gangtok at this hotel, but expectation and reality post looking at pics of hotel is completely different. Not bad though. Easy to walk to mg Marg.

Perched on Tibet Road it has very good views and also very conviniently near MG Marg. It's walking distance of 10 minutes. The rooms are neat and clean. The staff is really helpful and they do take care of you very well. The only issue was the quality of the food and price should have been better. I had not booked breakfast as part of room stay of 3 nights. But We had breakfast on three days and dinner two days. They served some kind of Himalayan breakfast and Sikkimese Thali. The taste was not upto the mark. The surprise was the charge. It was 10k for three people. The amount we had paid for stay of three day was 13k. The same food can be had outside in the market as well at much better price point and much better taste. It was my mistake that I didn't ask for the price initially itself, but I was not expecting them to charge 10k for three people for three breakfasts, two dinners. Would I still recommend, yes ofcourse. But I would suggest that for food, please double check. You have better options in the vicinity of the property.

The staff were very courteous and took care of all our needs. The property itself captures the cultural essence of Sikkim. This place is also very close to MG road.

Located at the city area..this is an amazing heritage style stay for tourists..apt for an authentic sikkimese experience! Extremely neat n clean service.. the manager, Nawang is excellent, so is the hotel staff.. What a warm welcome we received must try the Sikkimese cuisine too..

Beautiful property with a traditional Sikkimese feel. Nice & Clean rooms with courteous & helpful staff. Located just walking distance from the MG Marg, this place is a gem. Would definitely recommend this place.

We booked Netuk house hoping to experience the Sikkimese food as advertised on their site. But it turned out to be an ordeal of mismanagement, poor communication and coordination between the employees and booking section. When we arrived, heritage room which was requested by us was under renovation so we were given another room. During the dinner time we were told there was no Sikkimese food available so they served normal dal, rice which was disappointing. The next day while checking out they charged us extra saying the meals are not included in the booking where as I had Email confirmation of the booking. After a lot of confusion, phone calls and screenshot of the email, it was settled or so I thought! 4 days later, when I had gotten back home, they called me saying the booking is not right and they want me to send a clarification email! In the entire Sikkim trip, stay at Netuk House turned out to be the only bad day for us, simply because of their inefficient system. It's better to opt for homestays which are much cheaper and serve good local cuisines rather than this hyped heritage hotel!

What an excellent stay it was in Netuk House. We took the heritage rooms without the views but the rooms were really spacious, clean and cosy. The food options were not varied but the available options were pretty delicious and a great treat to the pallet. The location is walkable to MG Marg and gives good views of the mountains and the town alike. Overall a very well maintained property with great service and hospitality. Highly recommended.
