Netarhat Sunrise Point - Tourist attraction in Netarhat - Latehar, India

You should visit ones there with your loved ones. The place is beautiful and affordable but food can be issue as there is no good place to eat and sometimes to stay as well (if visitors are in large numbers as on weekends and holidays). Don't skip the sunset and sunrise there. Hope you enjoy.

Nice place, the sunrise point is located inside the campus of hotel Prabhat which is managed by Jharkhand tourism's. Anyone can visit this place and there are no entry charges. You get the best view of the sunrise from this place. You can also book hotel Prabhat from Jharkhand tourism's website and see the sunrise from the balcony. You must book in advance as it's always booked. Price ranges from 2k-5k per night.

Quite place developed by tourism department of Jharkhand. They are having rooms as well as Premium Tents. You can have stay at Tents to have a special experience. Ample Parkind available for all types of vehicles. Hotel Prabhat id having restaurant also where you have your meals. This is best place to watch sunrise.

Beautiful scenic site, loved the weather atmosphere and nature. The only thing annoyed me was jhtdc lodge Pravat Bihar would like to suggest don't even dare to book there old building it was horrible. After a discussion they shifted us to the new building that was great, need not to move outside as you can view the sunrise from your room and of course from the balcony although disappointed with their room services.

Netarhat Sunrise Point is the place where your heart dons wings.. as a bird set free from the urban dungeons, it soars over hills and vales, tapping the rhythm of the wild hilly rivulets. It leaps way ahead of your head transporting you along on its flights of fancy. While in Netarhat, if you want to enjoy the most spectacular view of the rising sun, it has to be the sunrise point in front of the tourist bungalow, Hotel Prabhat Vihar. It is located at a distance of half to one km from the Netarhat bus stand. As you wait in anticipation for that memorable rendezvous with the sun, you suddenly observe the hills and trees appearing as dark silhouettes against the clearing horizon. Even the moonrise seen on full moon nights from here is a long cherished experience. Needless to say, the Netarhat Plateau on the upper was, "Near to the Heart" of the erstwhile British soldiers too, that reminded them of their Scottish moors back home. Dense forests, serpentine roads, cool bracing breeze, nights may have probably prevailed upon the English to christen the place as Nature's heart or Netarhat. However, some argue that the place has been named after Netarhat which means a marketplace for bamboo in the local language. Located at about 3622 feet high in Latehar District about 156 kms West of Ranchi, it was once the summer retreat of the British Governor.

Netarhat is one of the silent and pleasant place in Jharkhand to stay. It is 4 hours drive from Ranchi Station. 4 seater car rate is around 5k-6k up and down. There is a Jharkhand Govt property called Pravat Vihar to stay from where you can view the sunrise. Food is average.

Best place for 2 day tour sunride point, waterfalls, old wooden building, pine forest,, nashpatti bagan, water reservoir it u want swim... And also do camping .. , loved this place ..
